Got an 01. I fell in that rust factor. So it fell years before what he said. Got a brand new frame. Cost them ten thousand dollars to fix. I work at a dealership and still see 05's still getting frames replaced today. I had mine done 7 years ago. So if you haven't got yours done yet. Better get it done quick you are running out of time. For you only have a certain time to get it done or you're screwed.

Dude, love your vids, but its possible, your pronouncing HILUX incorrectly. In Australia, where the Lux is a big deal, it is pronounced Hi- Lux as its spelt, and I'm informed the name came about from two words, High, & Luxury. I've owned about 5 of them, own 16 model turbs diesel 4x4 at the moment. You really seem to know your stuff, are they known as and pronounced He-Lix over there? Cheers bud.

I have an '09 TRD Sport, crew cab, full bed. No regrets. Toyota trucks for the win. Can't say the same for Toyota carsIvan Stewart got his wish with a V8 for his T100 baja truck around 1993. I hope we can, too. It gets less gas than before, why not have a reason for it now like MO POWAH BABY

Waiting on that up to speed episode for the toyota hilux. Im actually confused if its he lux or high lux. We pronounce it as high lux from where i am and in some other countries but idk. As long as you make this kind of great content who cares right? XD

I own a 2009 Tacoma X-runner, basically the easiest and funnest little truck to drive around. 4. 0v6 with TRD supercharger. Ripped out the x sub in the back that looks like a flux capacitor. Never the less still the easiest vehicle to work on.

ur tacoma was just called hilux in southern africa. P. S. the 2. 7L engines were unkillable, our old neighbour did a mil km in his, had to change pretty much everything by that point, except the engine, not even a block swap

Just saying because I bought brand it brand new. The first year of the trd pro was 2015. It doesnt have fox suspension or the multi terrain select like the 16s and up but everything else it offers is the same.

Toyota--other than the good engine and tranny, all others things are a false legend. Have a 2015 rav4, the break rotor rusted like hell, but have to say their engine & tranny is indeed good.
