This is a direct. mts file upload test. raw video. quality seems much better CoasterFan2105: In terms of quality, MTS is pretty much always going to be the best quality, since it is direct from the camera and not run through an editor. Every time you put video files through another level of editing, it compresses the file and thus, you lose quality. However, if you want to be able to manipulate the files in any way, you pretty much have to publish them in an editor. I think at that point, the extension doesn't matter. Basically if you just want to post an HD clip right off the camera.

PLEASE READ When I opload files from my JVC Everio HD videocamera the files are in MTS format, but since the utube layout change, I can no longer opload videos? After it has been attempting to opload for a few hours it says: -video format convert failed- why would it want to change the format? I was able to opload MTS format before no problem? What should I do please help.

Huh. I haven't tried uploading one in. mts since this one which was back in december. When was the last one you uploaded successfully?
