Because I chose to move to SE Asia, all my flights are Trans Pacific flights on Korean Air. When I do arrive in America, I will book a trip on Amtrak. I schedule my flights carefully as not to wait too long for a train. I choose to use Amtrak rather than US Air carrier as the time wasted going thru Security and the Airports themselves along with Domestic Carriers are atrocious! Plus the scenery from the train is wonderful. I get a roomette for myself so all my meals are included in the ticket price. Amtrak is the way to go for me while in the US. This is a great vdo regarding Amtrak trains!

Awesome video the Amtrak California Zephyr, Empire Builder, & Southwest Chief are my favorites out of the all I am dying to try the Amtrak Coast Starlight but if you were to ask me if I had to pick one of the three or which is my number one favorite Amtrak route out of all of them its the Amtrak Empire Builder.

Wow the only time I saw an Amtrak train or equipment was when I was in New Jersey riding on a NJ Transit train. I saw a Northeast Corridor train and a P40 or P42 in storage at New York Penn. Great video Coasterfan2105 I really admire your railroad enthusiasm.

I just remember something else that happened during the train trip on the Zephyr, in Omaha, Amtrak police boarded the train and I look out the window and a guy was in handcuffs, and in the guy's travel bag was no-no snow, and I mean a lot of it.

Mike, one of your best. How can we spot what types of cars are in the train? Coach, Dining, Sleeper, etc. Maybe you've done a video on this and I'm not remembering it but that what I tend to look for.

Nice video. I've rode the zephyr twice the first time to Reno and second time to Denver. In my opinion the zephyr is the most scenic. also filming it is some of the best parts
