This installment in the -Mortal Kombat- franchise has the best opening scene, and it is also one of the best in video-game history. I just loved how it includes all characters introduced in all games prior, even though it doesn-t have other great characters introduced in the reboot and beyond, especially Cassie Cage.

In the second timeline, red dragon clan characters where not involved. In the third timeline, good to bring back Daegon, Malvado and Hsu Hao as villains assisting Onaga trying to cause Armageddon via Blaze. Dairou, Hotaru and Havik for Order and Chaos Realm stories too. Nightwolf is my favorite character though.

Don't get me wrong I love the new revamped version mk9 to the new mk1 excluding mk11 but Armageddon was the peak Mortal Kombat story and it just felt natural. MK11 just felt too forced to reset everything and it disappointingly shows it wanted to revamp the storyline again

I played this as a kid but even then I was disappointment. After an epic intro, you get a 3 hour story mode with a protagonist no one cares about? No wonder they never acknowledged this story and just had Shao Khan win the big fight
