Also, I don't know if it falls under a Teen Movie or just a chick flick, but if Ever After is considered a teen movie, then Danielle De Barbarac would definitely make my list. Drew Barrymore in that white gown with the glitter and wings was absolutely stunning and one of the prettiest transformations I've ever seen.
Finally, I know I have more than 10 listed, but goodness, I enjoyed this list!

I HATED the Princess Diaries makeover. He BROKE her glasses. Glasses are expensive. Mia said she does not like like contact lenses. so they are likely uncomfortable to her. So now her life will feel like never ending full on allergy season of itchy eyes? Plus, to imply the hair that grows out of your head is wrong and needs to be chemically straightened?
It's not a teen comedy but I loved Amy's makeover in season finale of Big Bang Theory. She kept her glasses but got more flattering frames. New hairstyle looked cool, but it was something she could easily upkeep. Her wardrobe was not something that would make her uncomfortable. Elegant, but not super revealing or uncomfortable.

I can buy making yourself over as a way to bring out your trueself, but wish some movies with the makeover cliche at least shows the love interest liked them or was attracted before makeover happens. I've seen filipino films do that better. Shes dating the gangster did do a makeover but at least both dude and girl got one. Just the way you are had the male love interest love her and a makeover was done for a dance.

So, apparently it is on the outside that counts, since in pretty much all of these films/shows, once the female (or in some cases male) character starts to look good, that's when people start to like/pay attention to them, and it has been this way ever since My Fair Lady, and continued in films like Pretty Woman, She's All That, and Princess Diaries.

I love how they complain that this trope needs to stop and then just up and does a top ten makeover. Just lame, women are beautiful no matter what and this just plays into the women are only interesting if they fit the modern beauty standard. Just stop it

I've never understood the whole getting rid of the glasses bit. Like first of all, people wear glasses so they can see and second, some people actually find glasses attractive.
