I don’t believe what just happening this year is most shocking and saddening news I ever heard of my life that akira toriyama the creator of dragon ball the anime and manga franchise that brought anime and manga to mainstream media west and world has died I cannot believe I read that I never thought that creator of not only dragon ball but whole shonen genre and anime as whole has died last weeks I cannot believe this happening why it has to be him of all people the brilliant man and creator of what made Japanese animation and comic special unique and memorable in first place the one that made me fan of whole things anime the surviving legacy of 2D and hand drawn animation in era of CGI animation has passed away I couldn’t be more shocked heartbroken and disbelief in my life not long after my father died last year as fan of his work especially his most famous one dragon ball I shall missed and him and cherished his work forever 0: 25

Another moment I remembered and kept rewatching is rightfully called 'Namek's Explosion - Goku's End' After Goku defeated Frieza that time, things were still dire as Namek is still moments away from exploding. Realizing that his own ship is too away to arrive on time. and is pretty much lost. Goku makes a beeline for Frieza's spaceship. He hurries to the engine room and tries to start up the ship. but his hopes were dashed to pieces when what Frieza said about Vegeta critically damaging the engines, making the whole ship inoperable proved true. Goku was forced to escape the ship as it falls into the molten lava. With no way out, Goku is left stranded on the dying planet as it is in its last moments and break down.
In a fiery explosion. Namek is no more. and at the time, Goku's fate was ambiguous, close to death even.

Dragon Ball and DBZ is literally everything in Shonen Jump, it is the blue print of everything that has been done and is being done. Demon Slayer is Dragon Ball, One Piece is Dragon Ball, HxH is Dragon Ball, Yu Yu Hakusho is Dragon Ball, Naruto is Dragon Ball, My Hero Academia is Dragon Ball. Obviously, they all have their uniqueness and particular innovative moments, but none of them could have literally existed with what Dragon Ball and DBZ. DRagon Ball and DBZ is the Star Wars of Shonen Jump. My absolute favorite Dragon Ball and DBZ moments are 3: Goku vs Jackie Chun, Goku vs Vegeta, Goku vs Butre and Jeice. That was just jaw-dropping PEAK PEAK Dragon Ball bro.

When I was a kid my first dragon ball show was gt i know I know most people don’t like it whatever that doesn’t bother me also so what if it was my first dragon ball show i saw I was 8 I didn’t know a thing about dragon ball but as I got older I got to know dragon ball I from doing my research to watching every episode that I can found about dragon ball the plot and all was confusing at first but I understood it now and I just wanna thank Toriyama for those times from when I was a kid to now Rip Toriyama you will be in all our hearts as the future continues

Man this shit is hitting me more and more when i see how much it impacted many ppl around the world and around all the platforms. Its so sad to see this and i just hope we all keep the legacy alive for years to come. I loved DB and was my first anme ever so this just flat out hurting me inside. RIP to the goat Akira

Akira Toriyama was such an amazing and talented person. His art style truly changed the face of manga and anime forever. I’m so impressed that dragon ball went from an idea no one thought could work to being a true staple of both manga and anime. Toriyama truly is a legend that I will miss

No. There are no real dragon balls to resurrect Toriyama. His works brought great join to my life and now he is gone. I will miss him and I will always be grateful for the all he has done. Rest in peace, Akira Toriyama. Your legacy will not be forgotten. until Frieza blows up the Earth.

Ocean dub version of Goku and Vegeta's first battle will always be the best in my opinion. Vegeta truly sounded menacing when we first saw him on screen and then to have his voice changed over the saga really shows his growth

R. I. P. Akira, you gave us gold for ages to come. My favorite moment in the DB franchise was when Bardock dies, he gets the glimpse of Goku fighting Frieza and dies with a smile on his face along with the Saiyan race
