Calvin Klein might have wanted his brand to blow up but why not someone older than 15? It was totally inappropriate! I just have a hard time with Brooke's answers. After all, she had controversy at age 10 with -Pretty Baby! - She was nude long before that stand-in in -Blue Lagoon. - She sounds like she is in denial over some of might have happened to her. I don't know. Something isn't adding up. I also read her autobiography. Here she is positive about her mom. Her book exposed the negative things her mom did in those days that affected her.

Remember the slogan -nothing comes between my thighs accept Calvin Klein-.
Was a very controversial advertisement which generated heat because of the age of the model. Brook Sheild. This was the first choice for the promotion of the more tailored design for women's jeans.
America was not ready for a more European style advertisement. They change because of word thighs was used.

Brooke Shields walked so others can run. Iconic, pioneer and the epitome of generational zeitgeist. Thanks Vogue for covering her and should do more! Make her the cover for God sake; I'd rather have someone like her with life experiences than these new generation with little to nothing to offer. Ha!

It wasn-t her fault but EVERY girl born between 1963 to 1973 was held to this standard and it was not inclusive and completely unrealistic. The ad campaign if you watch it all was VERY provocative. Her image and marketing through no fault of her own was aimed at older men. It was just wrong.

Funny her say that her mom was uncomfortable in front of the camera but she pushed her daughter in front of thousands to see every part of her even though Brooke didn-t understand what she was doing or saying at the moment. Child exploitation.

She was absolutely groomed by her mother and the entertainment industry. Her roles were incredibly inappropriate. The way she speaks sounds like she is a victim who doesn't understand her situation.

So no one really knows what was meant by -nothing gets between me and my calvins. - I always thought it meant no one would get in her pants. Maybe it didn't mean anything at all.

lets take a minute to admire her beauty! She is gorgeous, and the way she speaks now as opposed to back in the day, same class and poise but much more assertive. Love her!

When I was a teenager, my nickname was Brooke. I loved to be compared with her. We should not take people's opinion too serious. They were obviously jealous of her beauty.
