Ok Im like two years late lol I have searched at Michaels and two other craft stores for these bamboo sticks to recreate this DIY but I am so out of luck. No where to be found not even Amazon. Is there an alternative that you would recommend to use? Id use BBQ skewers but theyre so thin and fragile that it wouldnt come out as beautiful as the bamboo sticks. Let me know, help a sis out!

If someone has magazines and cant find or doesnt want to use raffia, you can also make paper straws with the magazine pages and weave them in. It would give it a different look, but is another design. Love yours!

I love this DIY, however the bamboo sticks linked to Amazon are way too thick. I just used them since I really wanted to recreate this piece. Just FYI.
