I really enjoy your videos. I think if you would have picked a dark green or burgundy rug along with some light fixtures on the stairs. You woupd have achieved a space with character, the stairs in itself are kind of uncomon, choosing a bold statement with good lighting would have complemented the architectural design in that specific place. You already have the right door color, you nailed the frame and the floor. You just need a more robust carpet for the stairs. just a sugestion. I am not a designer but sometimes looking from the outside can be seeing a bit clear. Thank you for making the videos, they are super educational and very entertaining.

I really like it A LOT! You have really good taste. Glad I stumbled on to your videos. When you pulled the tile out I literally gasped. Love it. I would have used the tile on the face of the stair steps too. Give a great horizontal look. Add width. But the rug is nice as you mentioned it was cold in that hallway. I would also put a blind so I could shut when need be. The other comments were right. Your landlord hit the lotto when you moved it. Making the world beautiful one room at a time. You can quote me. Lol great work!

Very pleased. The rubber backing is essential in my home MyseIf. Furniture I've already recommended Maples Rugs to 2 of my friends. Not sure why the price has gone up though for the Spa colored runner in only 1 week. I paid $27 for each of mine but saw that they are $32 today. Anyway, I like my runners a lot.

Yikes, if you are still relying on tape to hold that rug in place, I hope by now you have replaced it with some of those nice rods, maybe? Coz that rug is likely to slide out from under you one day if you don't really secure it strongly. Take care of your sweet self, Drew!

I was going to ask why you didn't paint the railing black, then you did and it looks so much better. Black and white is one of my favorite color palettes. Having grown up with brass everywhere, I wouldn't have chosen that as my accent, but I'm a lot older than you.

Late thought but why did you not paint everything black like you said and the white would have been so much prettier You could have put a small piece of lumber under for the rug? Just saw the finally look and it looks great, as always,

That gave me so much inspiration. I have a little more space right before my staircase and I was thinking I shouldn't put a table there because it would be a little in front of the stairs but this turned out awesome. I am going to go for it.

I was literally thinking you should consider painting the railing black to match the door & window trim and then you did! Yippee! The new tile set the stage for your design, I felt! Another great transformation! Wow!
