What bothers me so much about all of these wonderful diy crafts, is if you dont just happen to have something laying around, like the long cardboard tube, the average person could not afford to buy an equivalent tube. Those mailing tubes are horribly expensive, insist that you buy multiples such as 25 or 50 of them, you cannot buy just one, so the craft becomes expensive as heck to make. PLEASE start coming up with crafts that everyone can first of all FIND all of the things you are using to make it, and then that all people can AFFORD the darn thing. I tried pricing mailing tubes and the expense is out of sight, not to mention most places dont have really long ones like you used. They seem to only go up to 36 inches or they are too small around. I wish you would find a way to re-do that wonderful floor lamp with diy parts that people either have around the house or can afford to buy. I have found this on every single crafts I cant even afford the darn paint to paint it with. One craft required two cans of Rustoleum paint and those darn spray cans were over 20. 00 a piece, so tht was forty dollars of just paint to do one little diy craft. Im so disgusted because I would really like to do some of these.

All flips are great, but your creative mind is just, beyond amazing. I was so curious at what you would use the cassette holder for. My first thought when I saw it in the thrift shop was how great it'd be for my stamp pads. I still scrapbook (or will when I can get past my hubby passing, so I was tickled to hear that you used to scrap. Do you have videos on YouTube of you back then? I'd love to watch you. Anyway, for you to come up with an advent calendar is brilliant. I'm so going to be on the lookout for one now. My grandkids would love it. Thank you so much for the great ideas. Oh, and I love that you incorporate alcohol inks for Scrapping, into your DIYs.

Wow Drew! The frame re-do was a total surprise. Love it! Edit. the lamp! You are sooo creative. Then the CALENDER! omg. so clever. 2nd edit. lol sorry, gushing here. LOVE YOUR DIY's! Fave? Well, like 'em all. You have a fantastic and simple style that is adorable. Big fan of unfussy, naturalistic design. I'd have to say the calendar, didn't see that coming lol and I love it. Oh, about the looking glass spray? It makes great mercury glass if you use water to make droplets (spray bottle) before then heavier coats?

I found 3 of those cassette boxes a couple years ago and couldn't decide what to do with them, but couldn't part with them either. Sooooo happy I found this video today! What a great gift this would be. The wood is beautiful as is, so a quick turnover, as well. Thank you! LOVE this! I also happen to have some huge cardboard tubes which I am totally planning on using for a lamp. Amazing!

Difficult to choose my favorite, but was really impressed by the floor lamp flip. I would like to try making the advent calendar though. Found your website through MaCenna's. Now I'm feeling like I'm cheating on her by watching you so much. Ha ha.

I LOVE the advent calendar! With the mirror I think the stained glass would be a perfect background, imagining a handwritten a quote, or a picture drawn on a yellowish newspaper, cut out and put on the mirror, anyway love the projects!

Its so fun to see which pieces you gravitate to and why! There are a few I definitely would have grabbed but others that I couldnt picture what youd do till the finished product! Really neat to get a peak into your creative brain

Love the mirror effect. I have done that before but I have never used alcohol inks on metal. Good tip. Your thrift flips are my grab episodes. I say never pay full price. So thriving is right up my alley.

New technique is the alcohol ink.
The three I liked best is the mercury glass, the floor lamp, & THE ADVENT CALENDAR.
EXCELENT JOB!
