Drawing is the foundation of all art. This is why it is so important to have at least a basic understanding of how to draw or sketch. More Drawing Videos: Learning to draw, or at least sketch, will increase your skills in other art forms that you may already do, such as: Painting, Pastels, etc. The more you draw, the more you'll start to understand subtleties of values and forms. These things are crucial to creating realistic renderings and paintings of landscapes, cityscapes, portraits and still lifes

I am so excited that you read Bram Stoker's Dracula & want to illustrate it! My all time favorite. If I may make a suggestion, if you haven't already done so, don't watch the original 1931 Dracula movie, or any others for that matter, until AFTER you've completed your illustrations. I've always found that if I see a lot of other work done by other people, it influences me with my own ideas on what I'm going to draw/paint. I would love to see what your own virgin ideas look like without any influences by visual cues from movies, etc. Just a recommendation. Can't wait, you better show it off when you're done! ;-) Thanks, -Stacey

Hey man. I just started doing some art (inspired by my great friend, Hello Benjamin! AJ. Anyway I found your videos and I'm working through this series. I'm finding it very helpful and i'm liking your style a lot, so thanks for the great videos. Another thing HBAJ and I are doing is role-playing games on Google +. The one we're about to start is a Young Dracula RPG based on the BBC TV series. So when you've mentioned doing Dracula art here that really ties in perfectly. So. if you could do some Dracula art, especially tutorials / timelapse, that'd be amazing! Thanks again, peace.

-SchaefferArt I'm a huge fan of Superhero Movies and Horror movies and novels especially Stephen King and I want to be able to realistically draw some of my favorite actors and actresses in their roles as some of my favorite Superheroes as well as being able to draw some of my favorite horror movie monsters such, as Pennywise The Clown from Stephen King's amazing horror story IT. I would love to improve my drawing abilities and draw realistic portrayals of these things from the movies. I think your videos should really help

I don't think it is you, since holidays are over and the weather around here is nasty, and in -20 degrees several times a week with lots of snow, I haven't gotten out much, so I am in a funk with my painting, haven't really cared if I pick up a brush. Maybe it is a seasonal thing. It is like in the spring I want to photo graph everything, in the summer I want to photograph, draw, and paint, in fall I want to craft, crochet, and paint, by winter, I want to curl up in bed and NOT MOVE. :) lol

unconditionally support u and ur work! u are right, we should take as much responsibility as we can to make this world better and better, and to illustrate this concept through the art is the most amazing way and meaningful, influential, our life is short, but the spirit will live with the art eternally. Thank u for all ur sketching lessons, that helped me and inspired me a lot. Pls keep going, u deserve all the best.

Thank you sir. Thank you for this content! I'm going through your video series like I would a formal, paid course: taking a few days between episodes, practicing, minding your advice, etc. So far the most useful lesson has been to -learn to see-. It's made a great difference already! I'm practicing shading right now, and in a few days I'll move on to perspective.
Again, thank you!

Thank you so much for your videos. I was always inspired to do art but I never had the discipline to do so. And now, almost 30y old, I decided to start from basics. And ohh dude, you don't even know how much you helped me with this videos. So, I thank you enormously for sharing your knowledge and doing it in such a humble way: ) Cheers

Thank you. I believe I suffer from creative anxiety and tonight I sat with my daughter and started from the basics. The first lesson of not committing but sketch helped me sooo much. It was magical to see my daughter draw a perfect circle for sketching and we had a beautiful moment connecting. Thank you.
