Looks great! What if I have a paid company Office 365 account which does not include locally installed Office ProPlus (like Office 365 E1 or Office 365 F1) and have a Word-file locally on your C:\ drive, or a network file share like S:\, and you doubleklick the .docx - will file association work so it will automatically open the file in the webbased Word or do I need to manuallly upload it to OneDrive first?

Sorry Microsoft this is only idea of yours I didn't like . App means it should open the app in the PC itself, but either open the existing installed office, or takes to the browser. It should be offline -app- which pop up individually when click.

Great explanation. I just sold my Mac, bought a new Dell and opened the Office app and searched to see how it works. Thanks. I'll try the free version to see how I like it.

Hi , great video intro to the new Office app. If I may make a suggestion, is for files in OneDrive, if there is an option to sort by type would be most helpful. Thanks.

I just tried this on my new computer and it will only let me use excel for free for one day and it prompts me to purchase it. Am I doing something wrong?

First thing I had done after buying a new laptop was to remove this app thinking I need subscription. But anyway this will not work in my 2gb ram laptop
