Hey dude I got an sd card for my windows computer 2 years ago so it is now fully updated windows10 it's disk is full and I can't delete the files as they are important so I bought an sd card then I went to settings and set that all new content will be saved to my sd card but it does not save it there how do I fix this ....... Btw my format is exfat and there is no volume written idk if tahts the problem

Thank you for making this video.
In my case, 'format' options was not available from both Windows Explorer, or Disk Management in Windows; and it didn't allow me to both from Ubuntu Folder, and also even with Gparted in Ubuntu as well.
on Windows, I get -This disk is write protected-
It feels like I may have encountered one of the really stubborn cases.
Have you seen this scenario before?

I tried this on my Mac and it failed.. and it failed on my Android Phone too.. It crushed my phone every TiME I tried.. Kinda scary..lol What should I do now..??? It's a shady PNY brand Made in Taiwan that I got from a random guy lol

Thanks for the information. Recently I put my SD card on another camera and when I put it back to my stop record automatically for buffer overflow. It's the first time that my sd do that in 2 years, how can I fix this issue. Thanks!!

Thanks for sharing this! I have a micro sd card and a mac.....the micro sd is locked and I cannot get it to reformat and I cannot trash the contents, I get a -failure- message. Any tips?? TIA!

Hello what If the card is not detected from the system and diskpart doesn't load due to data corruption and you cant chkdsk to repair the card ?
