Very good information, you answered some basic questions that bothered me. I'm an electronic technician but don't know anything about mining. A couple of suggestions: If you make videos like this in the future, you keep referencing your first choice as a chip; however, that is a BOARD and not a chip. A chip implies an integrated circuit and the word chip comes from the actual silicon wafer ie, chip that is found on all IC's. So I would use the word circuit board and more correctly you should say relay board because that orange component on the board is a relay that once it is powered on or energized by the main power supply it closes the contacts in the relay that then signals the next power supply to power up. Also when you explain the need for keeping the power supplies separated at around the 13 and 14 minute mark, you mentioned that if one power supply fails and that certainly is a valid concern, but from an electronics perspective, there is always the possibility and I would say the likelihood that no two power supplies will generate the exact same voltage even though the label on the power supply says that it does. You may also notice a plus-minus percentage as well telling you that the voltage will likely not be exact. So the most important reason why we want to keep power supplies apart is so that they don't get into a situation where one voltage is higher than the other supplying the same graphics card. That is a real world and very frequently occurring design issue. Your stipulation to never mix power supplies is well-founded and I wholeheartedly support that. Thanks again! Thanks so much for this video. Question, I just bought this BTC S37, a generic motherboard. But, this one doesn't have the normal motherboard power plug, rather, it's using the 6-pin PCIe of the first slot to power the board, CPU, etc.
I just have 1 x 1200W ATX power supply atm and I think it can support up to 4 x RTX 3060ti fine. Now, if I want to go more GPUs, I might need 2-3 power supply. Can I still use your suggestions above to do it?
1. If I use the 3rd method (the branching adapter), can I put a pin stopper into it? =O
2. If I use the 4th method (the PSU splitter device), can I put a pin stopper on the main power supply?
It's just the motherboard only takes that PCIe cable to power. Thanks for the help.

Hi, I am your follower. And I got a problem of using add2PSU. I use B250 MINING EXPERT motherboard, it could connect 19 gpus. I use A main psu and use it's sata connects three add2psu chips with 3 psu. B and C connect other two psu. So there is 6 psus in total supply power to 17 3060ti gpus. Every gup is lighting and cpu fan is working, the problem is system did not sart up. Could you please hope me. Thx a lot

Hey man quick question, im using a 1000 EVGA psu on my six 3060 ti lhr rig. However it started to randomly shut down once a day, ive tried lowering memory clock but didnt work. The rig itself is consuming abt 857 watts total. Do you think adding another psu might solve this issue? If yes which one should i add ? I have another 3060 ti lhr rig with same psu and it runs perfectly fine..

The best video i have seen since I started mining one year ago. I got rid of my server PSU. It was very efficient, but way too loud and hot. I got ten rx5600xt gpus and got myself one RM650 and one RM750 for 100 Euros. Both are very quiet, the system is stable. Since the rx5600 runs on lower watts, I can use one cable to run two cards and two risers!

I have 2 rigs one is at 900mh running 2 1600 platinum psu corsair and second ru Ning 840mh with evga 1300 platinums on the 2 1300w psu I'm at 2050watts use and on the 2 1600watts I'm at 2450 is that enough headway? I have been watching your videos and so far very helpful and answered questions that I couldn't find.

If I connect the main component of the computer with 2 different PSU, will it ruin my computer?
Like the first 8-pin connector for CPU connected to the main PSU, and the second 8-pin CPU connected to secondary PSU. Will it harm my PC?

Hey, When you do the splitter method, I assume its the normal process right? Meaning I flip the power switch on both PSU and then I hit the power switch button that is connected to my motherboard power sw/reset/hdd/led header?
