Moderation is perhaps the governing concept for a Christian view of bodybuilding/weightlifting. First Timothy 4: 8 teaches, -For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come- (emphasis added. Physical fitness is important, and as this verse states, it does have some value. We are physical and spiritual beings, and the condition of the physical body undeniably can impact the spirituality of a person. Surely part of -glorifying God in your body- (1 Corinthians 6: 20) is keeping it in reasonably good physical condition. Bodybuilding can definitely be a part of a Christian-s physical fitness program.
At the same time, as with many things in this life, bodybuilding, if taken to the extreme, can become an idol. Eventually, a point is reached where there is no true value in adding more muscle. Bodybuilding/weightlifting can become an addiction and/or obsession. While this is much more often an issue with men, it can be an issue for women as well. Striving for bigger and stronger muscles, taken to the extreme, is nothing but vanity (1 Samuel 16: 7; Ecclesiastes 1: 2; 1 Peter 3: 4. Once we allow our physical appearance to become more important than our relationship with God, it has become an idol (1 John 5: 21.
-So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God- (1 Corinthians 10: 31. The key question is does bodybuilding/weightlifting glorify God? If it is done to increase fitness, strength, and tone, and thereby health, yes, it can be done for God-s glory. If it is done out of vanity and pride, or from an unhealthy obsession with getting bigger and stronger, no, it does not glorify God. How should a Christian view bodybuilding? --Everything is permissible for me--but not everything is beneficial. --Everything is permissible for me--but I will not be mastered by anything. .. . -Everything is permissible--but not everything is constructive- (1 Corinthians 6: 12; 10: 23.

Both I and J were used interchangeably by scribes to express the sound of both the vowel and the consonant. It wasn't until 1524 when Gian Giorgio Trissino, an Italian Renaissance grammarian known as the father of the letter J, made a clear distinction between the two sounds.

Very Kewl. Looks top-notch & organized. Yeah, why can't people put dbs back right!
Also reminds me of why I purchased my particular machine (BodyMaster) 35 yrs ago (used. the unique/same Squat-attachment & the ability to hold onto machine to stabilize thru-out movement.
Still have it. just don't squat no mo. '
So, did Jesse replace Charlie?
Jesse would sit after just one-command and he can probably hold the camera at a better height.
Poor Charlie.

It's a few years after the fact, but I'm wondering how you could leave out any comment about your TuffStuff functional trainer, which, if I had to choose one thing in that gym to move to my house, would be my pick. Always wondered how you chose that, whether you compared it with the similarly functioning FreeMotion machine that a lot of gyms seem to have.

Seriously. Why the whole world and all celebrities don't go to Jeff to achieve their goal body for a movie or sth? It would be a hell of a training and exposure.
Imagine the wolverine or Superman in an intensity hard training with Jeff. Live in a video.
Damn!

Jeff you have to do an updated gym tour! I didnt see that machine with the two adjustable arms and pulley cables in here. Youve done videos with it like the shoulders and chest vids. Please do it im trying to build a top notch home gym but take up least amount of space!

I gotta ask, is there a way to train at the XBox? I understand you're at a level now where it doesn't make sense to train with clients outside of top athletes, but are there other trainers to work 1/1 with? Have you considered franchising XBox gyms?

Hi, Athlean X team, just curious. I-ve watched a video of yours saying that doing leg extension ain-t good and I had to say it was well explained. Albeit, just wondering on were do you use your leg extension machine at your X box? Thanks!

Is it possible to train with you there somehow? I would actually like to travel where that gym is to get serious with my body shape and i think i would be motivating to train there. Or is it just for proffesional athletes?

Hello Jeff, is it possible that you do a video on how to built a budget gym? What are the items required in a normal gym, and where to find the low cost and good quality items? And of course how much does it all cost?

Ozzy is the best ever. The godfather of metal.
is it possible to get an idea of what company made your racks? When you shot the video, the light from overhead had a glare on the rack and made it hard to read.
