3 keys to gaining strength FAST after a break or layoff from the gym! Be the first to get my new program when it drops! Alex: Excellent video! Any chance you would do a video on how you edit your videos? I myself think you have the most visually appealing fitness videos and seeing what plugins or effects you use would be awesome! Keep up the great work!

HYPED! So because I am coming back to heavy training after a layoff (due to injury) I think the tips in this video will apply to most people who are unable to train normally due to the pandemic. Hopefully you guys will find it helpful for when we're all back in the gym as normal. I'm hoping sooner than later! I put the summary and tips at the end of the video by the way. Peace!

So I was following your hypertrophy program and was a week away from finishing the 16 weeks before they closed everything down. Then they closed my gym down permanently which made me wanna build my own gym, so I did. Now I'm starting over your program, but just improvising with what I have but so far so good

Please, anyone, comment on this one, but I think that your deadlift stance width was much better and powerful on the 495 2 than your amrap, and therefore I think that is the reason that you were weaker than expected.
reply

The reason why your amrap on deadlift was lower is because losing tension on your position by resetting takes more out of you than you think, and sumodeadlift after squats is a lot of the same muscle group
reply

If you know that more reps in an amrap decreases the validity of the one rep max calculation, why not just work up to a weight that feels like a higher rpe and squeeze a double or a triple?

I don t believe the 1rpm calculator is accurate, everyone s endurance is different, I can squat and deadlift 5 plates but I can t rep out 455 for more than 2 on either lifts.
