Portland doesn't look anything like this in 2021. The natural beauty is largely now destroyed by continued riot damage (there was just a riot in Nov 2021 and all through 2021, lots of radical leftist grafitti, toxic leaks from block long encampments of abandoned cars, rv’s, and massive homeless camps. The rivers are lined with camps pushing stolen cars and dumping raw fecal and chemical sewage in the waters everywhere. We have had more murders this year than any in our past - ever. Car jackings and breakins are rampant with one victim being shot for their car last week. Police response times are over 90 minutes and businesses get armed robberies multiple times in a row now.
I live here and am moving out as soon as I can. It’s worse than the Tenderloin in SF - except here it’s that bad everywhere in the city.

I love your reviews and I just got back from Portland and went to tillamook and Oceanside. Holy crap is Portland a mess! Seriously, encampments and homeless everywhere. We stayed in the rose way area right by the grotto and it was disgusting and that’s known as a suburb. Went downtown to a crazy huge book store and it was night of the living dead on the streets. They don’t arrest people because the jails are overflowing. These guys looked like they’d kill you for a rock. It’s bad! I live in Minneapolis and the twin cities are in much better shape. Like 100% better. I’m glad to be home

Yes, yes, I see. But the people aren't beautiful. Actually, quite repellent. In fact it's quite an ugly city, architecturally. Whatever beauty there is to be found, it lies in the mountains, forests, & ocean and is wholly independent and separate from the city itself. It's really saying something when this supposed 'utopia' is America's fastest shrinking city as of 2023. While people are fleeing this city by droves, many of those taking part in the mass exodus are LIBERALS. And what makes it amusing is that these said liberals are taking refuge from the very same 'progressive' policies they voted for!

I’m a true Portlander I’ve lived here since 1976. i know it has changed drastically but I’ve been on all sides of the US and Portland by far is one of the most beautiful places in this country. great food from northeast to southeast the people are very friendly but since Donald Trump took office he has made all these radical groups come afoot an has shown racist people come out of nowhere there was a time when we were a free loving society very relaxed state of mind and we came together an had great times. pray for our city

The state of Oregon is absolutely beautiful, like much of the U. S.
The problem is the same as in California, is that the libtards have turned it into a complete shit hole.
If there were ever a place where a catastrophic natural disaster or epidemic needs to happen ot is definitely the west cost.

Lived there 2003 till 2019. Something changed around 2013-2014 ish. Trash, homeless etc. I lived off the banfield freeway on the east side and homeless camped off the off ramps near my condo. Yeah it has beautiful surroundings but the city is trash.

What a difference 4 years makes. Those progressives you admire have destroyed this city. You should do this again and feature the countless homeless camps and huge garbage piles. It still has a natural beauty, but the atmosphere is truly ugly.

I was born in Portland and lived the first ten years of my life in the NE Fesseden area. My folks moved to Laurelwood when I was ten, then onto Carlton until I was 15 and then moved to CA and been here ever since.

I travel the country on my motorbike I've been to every state and I can say without a doubt Oregon is the best state to live in. If you disagree you probably belong in Alabama or Florida.
