Silent Hiking the Andes Mountains in Peru for Five Days

Five days of relaxing silent hiking through the authentic Andes Mountains in Peru close to Rainbow Mountain. Join me and my friend Brian on our hike as we experience authentic Peruvian village life, interview a few local people about their daily life in remote villages, and go hiking with dogs, alpacas, and llamas through breathtaking valleys and over awe-inspiring rainbow mountain passes. Throughout my journey here, I was constantly reminded of the Nepal Himalayas: from the warm villagers, to the cold and snowy giants. Trek was in October 2023.

19: 10 duuuude, why. that is not entertaining footage to post for us rich folks on the internet - that is NOT gonna end well. subsistence folks simply can't afford to have other peoples' dogs chasing their livestock, break a leg or two in the flock, cause some miscarriages, that's a major loss for the family. OR, get a just a liiiittle more carried away and develop a taste for slashing hind legs, that's even worse. for people like me with a background in the country, this footage just fills me with dread. Cody with his local knowledge should have warned you, shame on him.

Absolutely beautiful. Best relaxing documentary I have seen. I have hiked the Applacians, the Adirondacks, the Inca trails in Peru and Ecuador, the Alps above Austria, and paraglided many. But at 78 it is all a memory. awakened by knees, ankles, and rest of my body pains. I lived and loved every minute. Congratulations on ths one. I could smell the llama and the fire places. I will be back for more. Live in Cuenca, climbed Cotopaxi and Chimborazo for good measure. Thanks for the memories.

it is soo difficult to capture the real beaty of mountains, the effort it takes to traverse them and the emotions that humble and silence you along the way. This film captures accomplishes all of that in a beautiful way. The amount of work you had just to take us with you and the carefully curated material you choose. it leaves me with big eyes, a big smile and a wonderful experience. Thank you!

Amazing views, drone footage in an area of incredible natural beauty. and no mobile fones. Every young person in the world should be given the opportunity to experience life like this. When I 20 I hitch hiked alone across the USA &Mexico for 9 months the most freedom I had in my 65yrs of life

As an old lady in Taiwan, thanks for bringing natural wonders to my home. Thanks for bringing back wonderful memories of lovely alpacas from my 2007 Peru journey. Thanks for excellent video quality both in shooting and editing. Enjoyed so much and wish my next life will be like yours.

Now THATS silent hiking!
there are some videos labeled silent hiking in the Alps or Dolomites, but the chances of running into other hikers or cabins etc is extremely high, so not usually all that silent. this on the other is a place where silence is Loud.

Two things make this video outstanding: (1) minimal human chatter, and (2) breathtaking visual perspectives. Images of the tent against the overwhelming backdrop of unspoiled, natural beauty are awe-inspiring. Congrats.

The video is advertised as silent, but there's music sounds. Why There was no music sounds when you were there, why would you add it Ruins it for me. It's unnecessary, it makes it seem fake, really had my hopes up.

Cool! It's a shame you had to spend all that time fumbling with a camera. But most the expeditions I've done were before the era, and all I had was my mind and the wilderness.

Silent Hiking I love the outdoors - without the music. That's why I choose your video. Music spoils the video.
