willyminor Thanks for the tip. I will check out monselice this summer. My family and i are spending 4 or 5 days based in Vicenza so gettingto monselice should not be too hard.
I have been to Sicily and just loved it. Siracusa and the valley of the temples were just cool cool cool. And the food was amazing.
We are looking for a town to spend a week in, in Southern Italy (way south like Lecce South, do you have any recommendations for down in the boot (not naples area, farhter south. Thanks!

woltersworld. Sassi, set for several movies like The passion of Christ by Mel Gibson. Cosenza, in Calabria, is another nice place.
About Sicily. well. i'm sicilian, so i could give you so many ideas!
Catania (and the Volcano Etna, Palermo, Messina are pretty obvious.
Taormina isn't a must see place: just one must ain't enough! The only negative part: it's veeeery expensive.
The Villa Romana del Casale in Piazza Armerina.
Cathedral of Monreale, a small village near Palermo.

woltersworld Lecce is definitely a good choice: it's called The Southern Florence. Maybe it's too much (Florence is Florence, but it's definitely a very nice city. When in Apulia, you must spend a day in Alberobello, to see the famous Trulli (ancient houses with conical roof, and maybe visit the Castellana Caves: amazing!
About other southern places: i guess you know the most famous ones like Naples, Sorrento, Amalfi, etc. A good idea could be Matera and its famous. (continue)

woltersworld you appear very simpatico in your videos. It's a pleasure to watch. And thank you for doing it for free. hope you get a youtube partnership so you can earn some revenue from your videos. let me know if there is some way to donate for a new camera though. because the image quality is a little 'oldschool' too and I would apprecuate an opportunity to contribute something helpful. I am from Austria and could provide you with translations should you need them. greetings!

fiveyearsbefore Yeah, I just have a simple digital camera with a video option on it. I dont take one of those big fancy cameras as they are more likely to get stolen and can be a bit hard to deal with (as we travel with myself, my wife and our two young sons. But I am hoping before our next big filming travel trip i will get a camera that will flim in HD and that can be of better quality in terms of picture and sound. thanks for the offers to help: )

fruitarian I have been to Mantova. It was a nice visit. You should find a nice middle base and then travel around. Italian trains are rather cheap so you can see a lot without spending a lot of money. You can find lots of non-meat dishes in italy so do not worry (they are even really tasty too.
If you go in the summer the non-meat options are even better than now.
all the best and thanks again for commenting and watching!

bstreetbstreet And per your comment (and my own annoyance at the messed up editing) I am going to buy some editing software today, so all videos from here on out should be a bit more professional i kind of laugh at that. maybe a bit less crappy would be a better adjective: )
Thanks again! All the best and have a great weekend!

fiveyearsbefore And once i have mastered my video editing software i am going to redub the audio on my love/hate videos into German so they will be in both english and german as the greatest numbers of views on my website and youtube account are from German speaking countries.
Danke Schoen!
