Americans also love their addiction to sodium and sugar! Not all, much that comes in the way of simple orange juice comes with SODIUM! Ufortunately, this is why there is an epidemic of diabetes 2, and coranary problems! The healthy stuff is so expensive that the poor litterally DIE frm mass consumption of 'cheap' food! It'sSHAMEFUL! USA's new motto: Profit Over Life! Maybe in other parts of the States, but MOST DEFINITELY NOT IN SAN FRANCISCO!
Years ago some of my sisters' rellies came to S and she rang me up saying that their trip was simply AWFUL! SF ha a nationwide some years past from their own mainstream jpurnal SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE where is the most rudest city in America. Winner? Why SAN FRANCISCO proper!
(Unless MONEY is transacted! So, no, not at all, at least SF (I have been living here for a while, though going back to Europe, Canasa, or Oceania.
plEASE don't waste your time or money there. Geographically she's beautiful, but the people (locals) are tragic!

Ive only traveled outside the country once, and that was to England a number of years ago. And I was shocked when I stayed at a hotel in London. Their single room was about the size of our dorm rooms plus a bathroom. During the day, I had to put my suitcase on the bed so I could walk around. It was absolutely crazy. And yes, single beds in double rooms. That would drive my parents nuts. They kind of like to sleep together.
To clarify, my parents were not with me on the trip. But Ive heard the same thing is true in Germany about the single mattresses. I just dont get that.

I've made up my mind.
I will never ever visit the states again.
And that is because of their economic model and the tipping.
I don't remember that it was any special about their service at restaurants.
1 take our order
2 bring out the order
3 if I need anything, I will ask for it (don't try to sell me stuff I didn't ask for, I know how to read a meny)
4 take away dishes
5 bring the bill when I ask for it
I don't want to hear your life story or anything that hasn't to do with food.
I tip after how professional they are.

What was saying about needing to do car rental - It is also not easy if being from a country that drives on the left. The slightest forgetting can also cause an accident. I found that a tip is on the visor, the sun shield that one puts down, is to stick a sign saying 'Keep Right' with an arrow below pointing right. And, keep the visor down. It doesn't seem to work at night though. In that case, just keep saying 'Right, right'. Then, when returning home, do vice versa for the 1st week.

Another thing about America. The 50 states have quite a bit of autonomy and differ quite a bit. For instance, Oregon has no sales tax. So, that $1 burger is actually $1. But if you drive across the border to the next state its more. Marijuana is legal in some states, not in others. So if you buy pot in Los Angeles and decide to take a 6 hour drive to see the Grand Canyon keep in mind thats in Arizona and that weed in the car will land you in jail.

So many times I got where are you from Australia I'd reply oh that's all mountains and skiing no that's Austria, Where did you learn to speak English it's my native tongue. The real saving grace of the USA is the New England states where they are much more civilized.

What it means is both them two women had all the opportunity they should ever be given with me, as I was NEVER offered such things myself when it mattered to me the most by anyone. so they should not be given another chance ever and should not have been given the benefit of the doubt to begin with. their your rules fool remember that yeah. like for like, all needing to be in the same place.

I like the American exuberance of this guys videos! However, Im an American and cant remember the last time I ate at a fast-food restaurant. They have a reputation for not being healthy (high fat, high sodium, sugary drinks, etc, and though there are some exceptions, Id recommend avoiding them and eating somewhere elsewhere, if possible.

The driving across the country thing is so true lol. I asked a friend where he'd go if he visited the US, and he said he'd fly into New York, drive through Chicago and over to Seattle and I told him that'd take like 2 weeks if he drove an average of 3 hrs per day, everyday. That's fun for maybe the first few days.
