While spending time in Thailand I decided to rent a small scooter and ride the 700km Mae Hong Son loop. I saw little villages, farmland, mountains and ultimately a different side of Thailand than what I expected. It was a great little adventure that you can attempt yourself. Cloud: If you have a chance to go to Thailand again let me recommend you to go to Chiang Dao Nature Trail in Chiang Dao district, Chiang Mai Province. There is a beautiful view from the top of the mountain called Doi Luang Chiang Dao. You have to walk for 8 Km(3-5 hours) from the starting point to the top (Ang Salung campsite) and stay 1-2 night for exploring around the campsite, I mean there are many peaks in Chiang Dao Nature Trail such as Kiew Lom that you can trek to. :)

Regarding the scooter, you said that you would recommend the 125CC one to beginners. However, these are not your average scooters. These are considered motorbikes in many, many countries and require a license. If you are involved in an accident while driving one of these, without a license, you are not insured. Yes, almost everyone does it, but that doesn't make it a good choice. There are some things to consider. Drive safe.

riding in Thailand at night time is NOT recomended. Doi Inthanon is very steep but quite a nice place. Pai is party central - next time try the Muang Pai Fish Farm for accomodation. The Witching Well cafe for great food. Thanks for the memories

Thank you Kraig! Thoroughly enjoy your style of film, and for sharing with the world places that you yourself want to explore, as we know not everyone is able to travel and explore!

That's what I love about travelling, when you got your flat tyre, everyone just helped you, that's the good part of travelling, it brings out the best in people.

I am Thai. I love Mae Hong Sorn province that is silent and peaceful although the way to go so crazy. Mae Hong Song mix traditional of Northern and Burmar.

For someone considering doing the same thing, how dangerous did you find it?
Even my Thai friends say it's too dangerous

I like your videos where you just stay silent. Come one, I don't wanna hear one more person complaining being in another country.
