Beynac-et-Cazenac is a stunning medieval village in southern France, perched dramatically on a cliff overlooking the Dordogne River, with sweeping views of the valley. Crowned by its 12th-century fortress, Chteau de Beynac, the village features narrow stone streets, golden limestone houses, and a preserved historic atmosphere. It is often considered one of the most beautiful villages in France and has been a filming location for several historical movies.

The Medieval period of Europe is so fascinating. I've always wondered why what we see with our own eyes often contradicts what we are told. Another great video, Milosh, if not sadly too short. Thank you for everything you do to bring such Amazing Places to us. -Rob

I myself could never live in such a place devoid of vibrant colors everywhere because I'm from South Florida which is extraordinarily colorful all year long but what mostly illiterate peasants were able to construct centuries ago in Europe astounds me.

A pretty place- thanks for posting. It’s nice to look at that river and the views and imagine someone centuries ago walking along there admiring the same river, the same views, only separated from us by the illusion of time.

I'm living myself in a medieval village here in Germany with its old houses and cobbled streets in some places. But this French medieval city beats it with the craggy outcrop and houses on it. A great discovery.

Wonderful, Milosh. Amazing and masterful builders in the 12th century! I continue to be thrilled by your videos although I imagine wheeled carts over those rocky roads would be painful. ;-)

The editing could be better, the repetitive back and forth to the same shots, abrupt cuts. and please, better music selection if ambient sound is not available
