ALONE in Africa's STRANGEST Business Class Michael: EBB has to be one of the worst airports in the world for security / document checks.
Security check at airport entrance where you MUST leave vehicle.
Then park far from the terminal entrance and lug all your luggage to terminal building (whats the point of checking cars at the entrance if you dont let vehicles drive up to the entrance.
Then a document check before you enter terminal building. Then security scan (bags. Now youre at check-in!
Then immigration who ask lots of unusual questions youd expect the airline to ask (such as details if youre whole trip. Why Uganda immigration cares what youre going to do in Saigon is beyond me.
Then another security check at gate. Then yet another document check before boarding.

What annoys me about you and Josh is you mainly fly business and first class. How can you evaluate an airline if you are privileged. First class and business is a dream for most of us travellers. Most of us fly economy. I would kill to fly the way you do. If you really want to evaluate an airline. Fly like most of us do. No lounges. No priority pass. No fully reclining seats. The way that you shoot down an airline because the way their bizz and first class are. You're joking. I love aviation. I'm a geek. But I fly like the real people. Just for fun. I've never flown first or business. I'm unsubscribing from you and Josh.

Noel you know as well as I do, ALL airlines pay fees to roll up to the terminal which is why the state airlines are at remote terminals, save money on the gate fees and the FOB takes in cash from all other airlines thats why Uganda Airlines has such nice aircraft with all the goodies, Im sure the company store makes money off of sales for those glasses and cutlery. Except for those that are pilfered by passengers. There might be a special Tax for Ugandan citizens claiming to be businessmen and wanting luxury accommodations. You never know with those African countries!

It saddens me to see planes like that old 707.
That plane once flew to different countries.
Gone are the days when eager passengers lined up to board it, the flight crew welcoming the passengers, the aroma of food and beverages from its galley, the experienced and seasoned aviators who flew the plane. all gone.
A relic of a glorious era when people actually dressed up to catch a flight.
Total contrast to today, where people on Greyhound buses are better dressed than international air travelers

Another great video from you. Agree with others, would be great to see you and Josh do a trip together. How would your individual sponsors like it? You had me crying over your little slip of the tongue re. the body cream. I love your little cartoon for Loo Review. I think you need one for amenity kits too, something like a chick picking up her handbag and spilling the massive amount of contents all over the counter

All the checks = employment for citizen taxpayers. If it was so hot in the airport why is Cahill wearing a thick hoodie? Did Cahill have to pay for his move to Business class? If Cahill did pay, good on him. If Cahill didn't pay that would be shameful. All the Ugandans in economy (state owned airline) and two white non-ugandan males in business class. Josh is boring.

I am Ugandan and you are brutally honest about out airport. Its a source of frustration for all Ugandans as we have a government that is simply incapable of delivering anything without messing it up. Its sad, corruption has made Ugandans distrust thier own airlines and instead fly emirates and other middle eastern airlines to Dubai.

Nuh just say alone In Ugandas strangest airline if you say Africa it will look like every African Airlines business class is strange come on man I hate it when people box africa to a particular country

reply

A bit crap
Sadly, that applies to most of Africa in general. I didn't notice any guys in uniform with assault rifles
wearing sunglasses, which might give a little sparkle of hope for the future.

before you complain about a country. check which european state colonized them. and exploited to the max.

sad snob comments about airport; also received difficult email today, so hypersensitive to patronising tone of privileged wealthy traveler in Africa

It would be interesting to know what the upgrade price at the gate would be for business class on that airline, since it normally is flying empty.

Are they STILL doing SCAMDEMIC PANTOMIMIE CHECKS? Jeeeezzz! And especially Africa - they use Quinine as part of their staple diet. Ffs! Convid!

It's great to watch 2 friends who share a love of aviation. I smiled throughout the whole video and I believe the crew enjoyed you as well.

I know those steps to get up to Departures. I regard it as my Fitness Program.
I see the Lounge is still as quaint as ever too.

The airport in Nairobi is one of the worst I have flown from. Zero facilities and changing Kenyan schillings to sterling took ages
