From subarctic to tropical, this is a 3, 030-mile (4, 876-km) road trip from St. John's, NL to Key West, FL across three Canadian provinces, fourteen U. S. states, and the District of Columbia. The provinces/states passed through are: Newfoundland and Labrador: 0: 00: 35-2: 12: 55 Nova Scotia: 2: 13: 11-3: 13: 28 New Brunswick: 3: 13: 28-3: 55: 32 Maine: 3: 55: 37-5: 00: 53 New Hampshire: 5: 00: 53-5: 04: 29 Massachusetts: 5: 04: 29-5: 24: 27 Rhode Island: 5: 24: 27-5: 34: 31 Connecticut: 5: 34: 31-6: 04: 39 New York: 6: 04: 39-6: 15: 35 New Jersey: 6: 15: 35-6: 42: 46 Delaware: 6: 42: 46-6: 49: 29 Maryland: 6: 49: 29-7: 20: 19 District of Columbia: 7: 20: 19-7: 20: 21 Virginia: 7: 20: 21-8: 00: 12 North Carolina: 8: 00: 12-8: 38: 44 South Carolina: 8: 38: 44-9: 18: 46 Georgia: 9: 18: 46-9: 40: 48 Florida: 9: 40: 48-12: 14: 53 This video covers almost the entirety of I-95 from Houlton, Maine to Miami, Florida, with the exception of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This video takes place over three different trips: Across the Island of Newfoundland of Newfoundland and Labrador; Nova Scotia to Springfield, Virginia; and Springfield, Virginia to Key West, Florida. To be clear, St. John's is considered an oceanic climate, but there are parts of the island of Newfoundland that are considered subarctic, such as Channel-Port aux Basques. The vehicles used, which were all rentals are: Across Newfoundland - 2017 Chevrolet Impala (picked up dropped off at St. John's International Airport) North Sydney, NS to Springfield, VA - 2018 Kia Sorento Springfield, VA to Key West, FL - 2018 Volvo XC90 (both of which were picked up and dropped off at Washington Dulles International Airport. A correction in the video: at 7: 06: 57, the tunnel is Fort McHenry Tunnel, not the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel as stated in the video. Thank you, Chris Foster, for pointing that out. To quote George R. R. Martin about writing A Dance with Dragons, with regards to editing and publishing this video: The last one was a bitch; this one was three bitches and a bastard. Here are links to this trip in real-time: St. John's, NL to Channel-Port aux Basques, NL: North Sydney, NS to Bangor, ME: Bangor, ME to Dulles, VA: Herndon, VA to Jacksonville, FL: Jacksonville, FL to Key West, FL

Sometimes while on a highway, I'll take notice of license plates indicating other vehicles' distant origins. In New York, I'd say at least 65% of license plates are from NY and surrounding states of NJ, CT; less than 10% from PA, MA and OH; and not that many from places like NM or Arkansas. After watching this video it can be interesting to realize there's a reasonably good chance any of these vehicles may be crossing 150 counties across the U. S. and Canada within 10 hours of my encountering them.
I'd love to see a video like this driving from Paris to NYC by way of Warsaw and Moscow, crossing the Bearing Straight into AK, through Canada, then Chicago, NJ, finally NYC.

Very interesting. Nice to have the extra data top right and bottom left. But why is some of your journey, especially in Florida, below sea level Also the heading is not accurate, when heading is East of South the increasing longitude reading shows that you are actually heading west of south - e. g. the Florida keys.

I've just discovered these videos. I basically use them as my screen saver at work. Thank you so much for this. As a geography nerd these videos have been so much fun to watch.

Just an FYI: The tunnel you went through in Baltimore was the Fort McHenry Tunnel. The "Baltimore Harbor Tunnel" is the old tunnel on I-895.
