Never mind the Ford Focus RS 0-60. We took the Ford Focus RS to Belgium's Spa-Francorchamps to see how it fares on a proper Grand Prix circuit Chainheart: Taken from Wards 10 best engines: -That Ford-s 2. 3L in the $36, 775 Focus RS stood out in a field crowded with entries from some dominating luxury and performance brands - BMW, Porsche, Alfa and Audi among them - is worth noting and rewarding.
-It-s a hoot to drive, - one judge says in summing up our experience with the Valencia, Spain-built 2. 3L RS engine.
-More fun to drive than the -Porsche- -Cayman-. There, I said it, - admits another. -

All you RS critics here - Wake up to the reality that the RS costs a fraction of those 'premium brands' out there. I have just taken delivery of my Focus RS and could either never afford to buy or would never want to pay Cayman GT4 money. And from my earlier experience with 'premium brands' I wouldn't be happy with their ongoing excruciating dear service costs. Well done Tyrone Johnson and his team!

Nice driving. Video would have been much better if the camera was slung a bit lower from the helmet. I had the same mounting issue with GoPro and added another leg to drop it down. Huge improvement without the rear view mirror blocking all the action. Also cleared up the washed out video issue because no longer sitting up near the dark roof space. Good work otherwise.

The RS is a great bit of kit, but the driver in the cayman wouldn't have been working so hard, if he really nailed it then the RS would have fallen a lot further back
I drive a Cayman S so I do know just how fluid and sure footed the Cayman is, and would guess the GT4 is just incredible

Need to see the video of a GT4 chasing an Aventador SV around the Nurburgring, SV pulls away on the straights but the GT4 catches him in the corners with a little help from slower cars. Drivers have different skill levels I would guess but fantastic to watch!

The Cayman has wider tires and a lower center of gravity. Physics tell it's gonna carry more speed in, through, and out of a corner. I would try that again with wider wheels, tires and lower the RS a little with a dedicated coil-over kit for the AWD RS.

Nice vid.
The gt4 should be pulling away with extra HP but wait till Mount tune fit a 400HP upgrade it'll be neck and neck then and the RS is less than half the price new if you factor in the gt4 current premiums.
I'm saying this and I own a gt4!

Eh, I enjoyed the video. However, Porsches are built as track cars and made for speed. Ford Motor Company doesn't do a good job at making much of anything worth running a Porsche.

so when you all do a sponsored video of the Ssangblaaah! Tivoli-a. k. a Fancied Up Kia Sole why do you all disabled the comments and approval/disapproval ratings?

Not much of a real chase as the match was unfair. But can someone figure out what is the car chasing the Focus that we can see in the left mirror time to time?
