It's not all new, and it's been awhile since it has been, but the Nissan Pathfinder is finally getting a touch up for 2026. Most of the updates you'll find to be of the cosmetic variety but not all of them. Inside the infotainment screen is updated and larger as well as coming with wireless connectivity (both Android and Apple for the first time. One of the best non-changes you'll find is in the pricing where the increases are not as shocking as you'll find in some competitors. In 2025 the Pathfinder was a good value option, in 2026 it might be great. 2025 Nissan Pathfinder Review - #nissanusa #2026nissanpathfinder #nissanpathfinder #v6 #vqv6 #3rowsuv #familycar #rockcreek #platinum #awd 00: 00 Introduction 00: 40 Front End Design 01: 30 Size and Side Profile 02: 30 Rear End Design and Cargo 04: 15 Powertrain 05: 17 Front Seats 06: 05 Second Row Seats 07: 27 Third Row Seats 08: 32 Interior 10: 56 On The Road 13: 48 Pricing 15: 49 Final Thoughts Here's why we don't talk about reliability much: And resale value Same thing:

Nissan is the ENTRY level for ALL Japanese brands. It's bellow Honda, Toyota, subaru, Mazda. They are on par with Mitsubishi, which they own. The switch gear and electronics are CHEAP. the stuff simply does not work all the time. They also need to retune the ZF. Adaptive cruise is bad. Auto steer is worse. The A/V unit is full of glitchy and fails when hot. The rear brakes are too small. 3 sets at only 38, 000. I got the cheap toyo tires on mine and had to purchase continental. Bad gas mileage. Noisy. Really noisy.

I feel like Nissans been making moves to up their game recently.
Outside of the obvious fuel economy hit, this is a rock solid option in the segment with a surprisingly reliable powertrain. And power trains are typically Nissans weakest link in my experience.
If they can get their new hybrid system in this and not raise prices too much, I bet it would actually do quite well.
Definitely excited to see that 2027 hybrid Rouge though and how that’s ultimately executed.
Nice review

Same thing I said on another new Pahtfinder video: Gotta say, the 2026 Pathfinder Platinum is a solid package, great interior, smooth ride, and tons of features for a family SUV. Great job, Nissan! Obviously, Rock Creek trim is not quite the Platinum, but everything I said still applies. Just get the trim you like and it's all good. Nissan showing other manufacturers how this is supposed to be done in a family vehicle like this.

MagSafe has to be one of the best quality-of-life features outside of the car, and it's great that Nissan has added it. Hopefully, it'll make its way to their entire lineup. It would be especially useful if vehicles with vertical charging slots adopted this (looking at GM.

Thanks for the info! All that piano black on a Rock Creek trim. Also, I guess I’m in the minority but I would prefer a turbo engine - more power and torque plus more efficient. Turbos have only been around for 40 years now so not exactly new technology.

Tariffs are not really an issue with automobile prices in fact they are actually coming down overall. Not sure what the reference is to but gasoline prices are coming down so that helps with fuel economy costs so that would be good to point out

Nice review! This is a good vehicle, but it doesn't LOOK good.
All the competition is going retro, boxy. Nissan looks dated here.
They need to carefully study the X-Terra design and why that worked so well.

reply

In my opinion, the Nissan Xterra should be a cross between the Bronco Sport/ Honda Passport/ Toyota 4Runner, but with the capability of A bronco/Wrangler. Just go for it. Push it to the limit.
reply

Should be offered in Japan as well, to compete with Land Cruiser and Mazda CX-80.
Big SUVs, and big cars in generals, became a big market when decent profit margins.

reply

I wish all manufacturers would stop using reflective surfaces inside the vehicle. I still plan on trading our old Tiguan for a new pathfinder.
reply

This truck is rated in the bottom half of mid sized. It simply does not do enough things good enough. It falls short in too many areas.
reply

If I was in the market for HUGE, this would be a consideration. But I'm rooting for a wave of subcompacts coming to the US soon!
reply

No sir! Dull interior, I just can't see why anyone would make this purchase over a Honda pilot or even a Hyundai palisade.
