Well many people says this car has a Peugeot headlights, lexus tail lights and so on. True, i agree. But in today's world, designs are more of a subject, let's take a look at the smartphones market today. Many new phones are coming out faster and faster, usually it's just Apple and Samsung, but now we have Huawei, Oppo, Vivo, Nokia is coming back, BlackBerry is also coming back, they are all different brands with different objectives but what all of them have in common is design or art. About 2 or 3 years ago the Chinese phones company started to hit the market and they mostly copied Apple's design especially the iPhone6's design and controversy everywhere. But now they are one of the top contender and people seemed to forgot about the copied design issue. So today, design is more of borrowing than copying, and I believe from this borrowing design, the market will expand faster and bigger because usually the 1st selling point is looks. So car company will start to explore more and learn more about others designs and implement it on their new car or products instead of just sticking to what they usually do with what they are known for or their classic identity.

Biggest 2 drawbacks of the car from design POV: making the rear lights so passively shaped removes the whole idea about the BMW. Everyone, every kid, every driver knows that BMW 3 series has mean front look with the kidney grill and that distinguishable rear look. Now that they removed that old shape style from the back. Its not that unique. The second drawback is the design of the door handles. Simply awful shape which contrasts from other shapes and lines of thw car.

Sorry but what a piss poor review: all about the ride and speed etc which could have been covered off in two minutes. I have no idea about the trim levels, equipment levels, how the satnav works vs the upgraded one etc. Most ppl are interested in how it drives, yes, but not to the expense of everything else. This is not a track / race car.

Car is Gorgeous. except for the LEDs which you-d probably have to upgrade back to halos. But idk why everyone is complaining how they stole a lot of designs from others car. If anything, whatever they stole looks 10 times better than their original designs on other models so I don-t think it really matters.

An excellent review. i was getting tired of all the G20 reviews that concentrated on the color, the info systems, the iphone connectivity and other millennial crap. One of them waited until the very last 45 seconds to mention. yes, it has a motor. Keep up the good work.

Looks a bit awkward from certain angles. BMW's used to look very clean and business-like. Unfortunately those day are long gone it seems. Certainly wouldn't give it a second glance, and don't find it at very desirable.

looks exactly like the 5 series to a point that I need to go to the back to the car in real life to differentiate. the dials look really really horrible. not exactly a fan of the pig nose kia front

Glad to see BMW-s back to making cars for enthusiasts, unfortunately they can-t seem to get the front end styling right on too many of their vehicles lately.

I think it looks good enough. Definitely better than the C-class and A4. I might actually go ahead and say this is the best car in its class right now.

This is a good critical review. I personally think it is the best looking 3 series in at least three generations. I can-t wait for the M3/M4 variants.
