Interesting note about the silicone plugging the pick up screen from a previous rebuild. Somebody used too much gasket sealer or the wrong sealer! I believe a transmission case has too tight of a clearance and will squeeze all the silicone out when torqued together. I have used anaboric gasket maker with good results. For gaps. 015 or less.
It's nice to see somebody with attention to detail who takes pride in their work being knowledgeable and passionate about the repairs they do. Oh I could go on and on.

Watching you install the seals, and you saying to be careful installing the seal so the spring does not jump out. I was taught by an old timer (which is kinda funny because I have been a wrench since the 60'S) to pack the spring side of the seal with grease. This method has worked for me for many years & have not popped the spring out installing the seal.

Hi Eric, thanks for all your videos, very informative. Personally I was wondering, because I own a 2003 Ford F-150 7700, which is basically a 3/4 ton, if you have any maintenance videos on these kind of trucks. Watch lots of Brians videos on Mackuloco, but just wondering if there are more angles. Basically preventative maintenance, the truck is solid.

I use Gear5th out of San Antonio(on Ebay. Just tell them what you want and they'll send it. I tell them Japan, Taiwan(big difference from PRC, or USA. For non-driveline stuff I often use Autohaus AZ out of Phoenix. Nothing but high quality stuff! I'm working on my own cars, so I can't afford to enrich the dealers. Keep up the great work!

This is the quality guy we need in every town in the US. He does the stuff no one else wants to do, and then videos the process. Ethical, conscientious, and hard working. Eric, you are truly a model for everyone, and we all love the videos. Thank you so much for your dedicated time and efforts. Best content on Youtube by far! Superb!

Recently after towing a heavy load that squatted my truck a lot my transfer case gears started making a grinding noise like it's trying to engage while driving. But when I let of the gas during acceleration, it stops. Is this something that can be easily fixed or should I just throw a low mileage used one in? Great video!

Hey Eric, just in case you're not aware, it is possible to recover the files from a formatted card, so long as you don't start writing to it before the attempt is made. You will lose the filenames, but I would think video files should be easy since they all have the same ext name.

I use to buy my Bearings from the Dealer too, until I went one day to a Bearing dealer! They always matched up the Bearings because they did not have Bearings just made for vehicles, but they always gave me what I needed at much better cost big time! Just a thought.

As a Pick & Pull fan I head there for replacements rather than a repair fix since the cost is many times cheaper - transmission is about 150 but two days of getting my hands dirty(save 1500) - cheap is good for some people similar to a hobby.
