This car was shown months ago with a series of Porsche design studies. look it up on the Web. Why it wasn't started? Because like most design studies/ initial prototypes they don't have any engine, sometime not even real suspension or structural pieces. it's just an exterior shell to show Porsche board members and the public and gauge interest. Same goes for the interior but sometimes they do a non functional one just to see how people react to it. Porsche loans these cars to dealers/distributors all over the world. our local dealer had a replica of the 919 Le Mans car in the showroom. exact to the last detail on the outside but not a real car.

Amazing. They can still keep it as the founder of the new prototype. By designing a engine and drive train that makes more sense for customer sales. Plenty of good Porsche engines they can redesign for hyper car and road use.

As gorgeous as it is. the design is too difficult to make it to a street legal car. Porsche is more focus on their SUV like any other brand. It is their bread and butter now.

If I bought this, where would I service it? Thats my ONLY concern. I mean my local garage probably wouldn't know what to do with it. If it wasn't for that I'd buy it.

Hi Very cool car and fast, but I can't use it in town, here in Sweden its only 50 km speed limit in town, and 110, outside town, sorry Blondie.

Just put in an engine thats just as powerful but works for the everyday driver and keep the looks. simple. so Porsche didn't think to do that?
