Rolls-Royce is set to go electric! That s right, from 2030, Rolls-Royce has confirmed that their entire range will be electric only. And their first EV is on the horizon It will be called the Rolls-Royce Spectre, and it s due to go on sale next year. And what s more, we ve got some exclusive images of just what it might look like! So what do we know so far? Well, we know it ll be based on the Phantom s platform, given that it was designed from the outside to be able to be converted to an EV. What s more, we also know it ll be a two-door - so effectively, a two-door Phantom! In terms of performance, we re expecting it to come equipped with a 102kWh battery pack and have a claimed range of approximately 350 miles. It ll also come packing dual electric motors and be able to put down around 600hp!

Where are we going to, dear friend? What's the energy paradigm of the world where the top of the top makes sense?
This seems to me the rest of the projects they will send to trash before the only energy they will really going is only hydrogen becoming water after a painful time of poverty living with old diesels made of frying oil.

I find it hard to believe any of the super high end carmakers will survive electrification process, ICE are a massive part of why you buy these typ of cars to begin with and also how will these handle? RR s are already heavy from the start, batteries are going to make them even heavier.

Why does car companies write all over cars when they're test driving new cars? I've seen plenty of car manufacturers either write all over them or cover them in some weird paint with words all over it.

Rolls Royce Phantom, Rolls Royce Wraith, Rolls Royce Ghost, now Rolls Royce Spectre. Is anyone noticing a supernatural theme with this company? When is the Rolls Royce Spirit coming out?

If Rolls-Royce can make a combustion engined Ghost too quiet, why do they even need an EV? As far as I'm concerned, EVs are overrated nonsense. Give me a V12 any day of the week.
reply

EV s are definitly not more expensive to produce than combustions cars, what you pay for is the investment that the companies put in to make the transfer to electric.

no way front end will look like this. too close to latest bmw 7 series in terms of headlights layout. I bet RR owners do not want their cars to be a copy of bmw.

I see BMW can't help messing with grills again. Rolls Royce does not needs it's grill cutting in half you muppets, that's what you 'should' have done the the M3/4.

another clickbait render video from carwow, come on guys! you make such good content, yet it sucks you have to stoop to this level for views once or twice a month.

The entire lineup with be electric by 2030. Damn, I need to make money quick to get the cars I want before it's too late, probably not a Rolls-Royce though lmao
