I am actually quite happy watching this. I grew up wanting all of these and i have now owned all of them: D I still have the RS6. Instead of the M5, I had the M6. And crashed it. :( They are all awesome! The V10 single clutch BMW is very special and the RS6 needs to be tuned. It's quite big and heavy being factory standard

Only problem with this comparison is E55 was generation of E39 M5, and Audi C5 RS6. In fact Top gear did an episode on all 3 and Merc had most power then for time: D That gen M5 and Audi RS6 was more in line with E63 but RS6 would still win. Only AMG at time would be the 65 AMGs that would keep with RS6 on top end.

this audi RS6 was in mass prodcution 2008 year, the amg is 2003 year model and the m5 is 2004 production year, and is 5 years newer model then the E55 and 4 year newer than the E60 m5. what result do you expect: ) well we didnt expect the e55 to outrun the m5 but. :D thats the real life: D

Well to me it seems that M5 A it-s something wrong with it or B it-s not on maximum attack mode because it will be much more faster then that, I know them inside out I-ve always owned one, get it fixed and race again Matt.

For 15k and if it was my ONLY car i'd truly rather have the Octavia mate. All of these cars are a nightmare to keep running and you better pray their engines don't blow up. They might be fun to own as a 2nd car.

bmw made a mistake with the NA v10 compared to competitors using forced induction, all well and good and sounding good but putting a shite gearbox with NA v10 and rwd it's just a let down on a drag strip

The e55 has legendary build quality and performance. There's an autobann video that came out recently that showcases how fast the car is. That m5 is rare as hens teeth.

I-m sure it would be a different race if you swapped the c6 rs6 with the c5 rs6. Since that car would of been out when the e55 came out. Would be more of a fair comparison.

There is absolutely no way you will ever get a good launch from an e55 in those conditions. It looks wet. In the wet my car will spin the wheels at 60mph if I floor it.
