I cannot tell you how much money you have saved me and built my confidence when it comes to working on cars. I honestly used to just have my car serviced and I always got ripped off. Your videos and the great detail you put has helped me work on my own car. Your enthusiasm makes it really fun to work on and not a hassle when I have to maintain my vehicles. From your videos, I have been able to easily work on my Mazda RX8, Ford Explorer, and Jeep Compass. No longer will I have to spend thousands of dollars on mechanics when it will typically cost me less than 200 hundred and I learn something new. Thank you, Chris.

i don't think there's a better car repair video than yours. no wasted words, your sound equipment is perfect, you move along at a good pace, you are completely prepared for the project at hand, good job, how much time do you spend preparing your speech while you are working, it is very clear and easy to understand or is all this talk and direction off the top of your head from doing it so much. i really can't find fault with anything you do. you work neat and clean, you double check your work, ,i like the way you matchmark with the paint pen, you do quality work, thanks for great videos.

Surprised someone that does this much work on vehicles uses those thick grip pliers on the table. Or are those pliers sitting there as part of a paid advertisement for the product or something? Ever tried those knipex cobra pliers with the regular thin grips? If not they're worth the price without doubt.

Excellent video! The one thing I would mention is if anyone runs into a staked-in U-Joint like Ford F-150 or Nissan SUV and doesn't have the right tools, it will be a lot easier and more reliable to replace the driveshaft than to use spacers and retainer clips.

I wanna know which auto part store let's your rent tools for free because each one near my parts of Jersey charge me for the tool. luckily I get my money back when I return it but the chances of me having 200 at that moment is slim lol

If you get the tires off the ground and put the vehicle in neutral it's easier to find a bad u-joint. When it's in park with the wheels on the ground the shaft has tension on it and it's hard to find any play. been there before.

Hi Chris,
if you place the universal joint with that contains 7: 17 grease filling port, it will affect the balance of the shaft at higher RPM. that is worth considering before replacing.
Do you agree?

I just found these videos and I am impressed. This guy is a great teacher. Clear and concise. Not only is he a great teacher and mechanic, but his videography skills and editing are first rate. Good Job Chris.

Lakeside Toyota of Louisiana gave me a bad transmission and refused to, even in good faith, hook it up to a diagnostic machine. Bad business.

ok can we all just appreciate the fact that he masked out his wheel at 21: 42 so that it drives over the video of the driveshaft
