I once went to look at a diesel Mercedes Eclass for my parents to go on holiday with. The seller turned out to be a retired BMW CEO from the Netherlands. He told me he found a Z8 at an auction once for the incredible price of 50K euros. Needless to say, he bought it. The coming weeks he got manymany offers, and ended up selling it for 75K euros. Only years later he found out prices for a similar Z8 in the Netherlands are now around four or five times as much. Moral of the story: Cars are passion. Not commodities.

ALPINA is not a tuning department or a tuning company working for BMW. It is actually a separate manufacturer of cars. It is true that they get the cars straight from the BMW factory, but they get them all bare bones base so that they can take out most of everything and replace it with their own, separately produced ( in Buchloe ) parts. It is so, bacuse for BMW it is cheaper to produce a few more of the cars they already make, than to make a whole separate production line for ALPINA. Great video btw!

Great design, but just a copy of earlyer Bangle design of Fiat Barchetta. Which was based on Fiat Coupe. Bouth can be bought in Europe for few thousand Euros. No need to be a millionare. So for everybody who like it, easaly obtainable. May be make a show about that cars, somedays. Even thoe Fiat is not a popular theme on this show.

up to speed on Jaguar E Type, also living in munich has its merits, i check from time to time the BMW Welt (world) a museum which is totally free, they even have a BMW pickup truck made by the apprentices, also we have Wiesn (Oktoberfest)

I service an original 50's BMW 507 hardtop for a gentleman here in Vermont. Super cool and unique cars, just make sure you dont lean on the hand shaped fenders with your elbows. they will dent very easily as my old coworker discovered.

Its not a Ferrari killer, i mean its decently quick but not Ferrari quick. Also the reason its forgotten about is because its basically an e 39 m5 with a new body and handles like a dump truck and its supension is made of jelly.

i remember working in a carpet mill and had 4 test carpets to make for this car. was a really cool job i miss it. the one carpet i made for this was black with 3 offset stripes in white and red separated by black stripes

I loved that car as a kid. Heard they were gonna make a Z10. Was wondering why they never made a newer one, , I liked the z8 way more than the z4. Also, now I know why the front if the Karma reminds me of the z8.
