This Small Mistake Will Cost You Thousands in Car Repairs Cajunman Dick: Caution Scotty K, when you use a power cord thats longer than 100 feet in length you run a risk of overheating you beloved Dewalt power drill because of the voltage drop that occurs with the increased resistance in the cord. Im a retired master electrian (commedcial and industrial) and Ive seen this happen on jobs Ive been on before. Some other tradesman would ask me what was wrong with their high -dollar drill because it was overheating and after seeing the over 100 ft cord stretched out, I would tell them and they would just shake their heads, mumble and then walk away and continue to use the extra long cord and shortly there after they would have a new drill in hand the next day. Some people just wouldnt listen, maybe more money than brains I guess. Just a heads up Scotty. Later, retirement is calling me and a nap is on the schedule for today. Reviving up my snoring engine.

Speaking of cheap plastic my moms first car(shes 48 now) was a little Hyundai car fresh off the Assembly line and when she got in it to drive it home she adjusted the rearview mirror and it just fell off and she said when she was driving out of the parking lot that the side mirror fell off and she turned around to get it fixed(it was her second trip to get something fixed before even leaving the dealership) and about halfway home her steering wheel popped off, so i think Hyundai got a new plastic manufacturer

You're wrong and you're right Scotty. I own a Subaru Legacy B4 RSK TWIN TURBO. It's AWD too. I've changed my tyres separately over the years and not one problem has occurred. If you change 1 tyre at a different size, then yes it will mess up the AWD system. Even break it. Always keep all tyres at the same size and nearly the same tread which is what I do. I buy separately but I always check the depth before I put it on. But still an informative video. Up from the UK

Changing all tires because 1 was damaged depends how much they are worn compared to a new tire. I had a damaged tire on my Forester and I called the dealer and I was told and don't quote me on the difference I think it was 3 or 4/32 difference that just 1 tire can just be replaced. Lucky for me it was worn just under the maximum and I replaced tire, it went for over 3 years until the other 3 were worn and all 4 were then replaced

Got tired of battery replacement costs in Snap on and Dewalt cordless drills, so a couple years ago I bought a Ridgid drill that comes with a lifetime battery replacement warranty atHome Depot. Don't do much construction work with it anymore, but use it alot with auger attachment to drill holes thru the ice up here in N. Minnesota (like drilling a hole thru 2 ft thick with a 6 inch diameter bit. Best purchase I ever made

Change all 4 tyres anyway if you have the money for it eventho u don't have 4wd, and change the tyres by axel swapping them every 5-7000mls, then u even out the wear also, modern cars have a certain alingment for safe understering manor, and that could lead to heel and toe wear and so on, when u swap the fronts to back a lot you get better wearpattern also, tho be sure your alignment is spoton for optimal wear too.

Thank you I had the same question about replacing all 4 tires on an awd. It is a pain if you hit something and destroy one tire. So far, we only had to replace one because they were less than 2 months old. But if we have to replace them now, more than a year out, it will be all 4. I do not want another awd because of this. But my wife works at a hospital. She has to go to work no matter the weather.

Sometimes rust on the top of filler pipe. and rust coming off onto the fill cap will interfer with your evap system and cause gascap light to iluminate. Scotty didn't mention it. Clean the filler pipe and rub it with a gassoaked rag to try to reseal it. The light may take a few hours to turn off. But it worked for me

For anything battery powered, stay away from anything that's not Lithium ion. Not only do the batteries last longer, they hold their charge better through continued recharges, charge faster, and don't lose power as they drain like NiCad or NiMH. The only downside to lithium batteries is that they can't be rebuit like others.
