This is important to have the train placing itself correctly between the rails and reduce vibrations. Going from Voss to Sundland in Drammen through complete white and wintery landscape. This trip was really beautiful and probably the only day it was white on both sides of the mountain at the same time. I work in the presently volatile North American Railroad industry. I'm presently in freight but turned off by the Presicion Scheduled Railroading, Precision Scheduled Crewing, and Railroad automation revolution that is in its infancy in the US. Job security is no longer a thing. I'm looking to transfer to passenger rail and public rail transit where these revolutionary ideas are mostly not in effect.
You mentioned in another video that you have a new green uniform since NSB was dissolved into several non federal companies. Is the train going to be rebranded to the green Vy company logo which is being phased onto the Bergen Line and branches. I have extended family up in the part of Norway you work in as well as much farther North. I will keep an eye out for the camera in the window and give you a wave.

Since you have SO many of those tunnels along this route, have always wondered, what would happen if for some reason a train did break down inside on of of those long tunnels and you had to evacuate all of the passengers off of the train, I mean are there some sort of emergency exits in those tunnels, or would everybody Have to walk the whole distance of the tunnel to get out?

Ahaha - enjoying all the disco car comments. :D Aaaaand, the Bergen Line tried a rave car, but had to discontinue it. When the DJs were in full-on techno and the dancing got wild, the car tended to start rocking side to side and straining the catenary. The flashing lights were super cool in the tunnels, though.

Hi HinduCowGirl. Hope you weren't working yesterday during the accident? It was outside my place, so I heard the car get hit, and did see a female driver of the train, so I did think it could be you, but hopefully you didn't need too go through that.

HInduCowGirl one of your moderators told me i had to change my name to use your chat. But I dont see any difference between my name and yours so, i don't understand what the problem is. I have used this name for years on u tube.

As long as there's a power source overhead, why not use it to heat the rails and avoid the need for sand altogether? Set up with a thermostat, it would kick on only when the temperature drops to a certain level.

I would like to know what all the various yellow metal signs mean. There's square ones round ones, triangular ones, slash ones, some with numbers some with strips, some blank. What do they all mean?

Just read that the hotel in Finnse is going to be Closed for the rest of the year. what a shame, but they say there are hopefully going to plan on reopening around the 15th of Next year.
