Are You A Raw Food ELITIST? Starheart: I'm glad you've talked about this. ALthough I'd love to be 100% raw, some days it's very very hard. Having the raw 'til 4 option has really really helped me being stay vegan and not make me feel like a total asshole for eating something that wasn't raw. Having cooked potatoes or rice once in a while really keeps me on track to having 2 full raw meals or more the next day. We can't expect everyone to be perfect and stay on track 1000%, and having an option or backup plan like you say really does keep people going. It sounds SO easy to be fully raw and then you go to the market and there aren't any ripe fruits or the ones that are ripe are so out of your price range, and some days all you have in your pocket is 15 until payday. anyways I could go on and on for days. Your raw 'til 4 really does help and I am so grateful for it.

I am one of the reasons you made this video. I fell off the raw vegan bandwagon for various reasons but a large part of it was because I was not getting enough carbs after a while and then was starving and desperately wanted that cooked rice and thought I was committing some kind of sin against raw vegan living so I gave up and eventually returned to unhealthy vegetarianism. Thank you so much for being real about this issue because there are many obstacles to this lifestyle but they can be overcome. I did feel left out of the fully raw club and it led to bad eating habits that caused me to become the heaviest I have ever been. Thankfully your back up plan ideas are practical and inspirational. I definitely think it is better to do whatever it takes to keep someone vegan rather than exclude them and lose them entirely.

Freelee you're advocating for a healthier lifestyle that is more accessible to the masses. You're doing the world and people a great service by keeping it realistic within the parameters of healthy. You go girl! If it hadn't been for your advice I wouldn't have lasted a day in raw vegan. Transitioning now with 2/3 meals RV. Gracias! (thank you) and hugs from Sydney: )

There are some places and situations where people can only afford or find fruit for a few meals a day! Cooked low-fat carbs are cheap and accessible! I'm sorry to hear about all the controversy within the movement, but stay focused because you're still changing lives: )

Raw is Law is the LAST thing John Kohler would say. As far as I can tell his only gripes with 30bad were lack of dietary variety and refined sugar. Aside from that I agree with you 100%!

Freelee, please tell about your experience with hair - is it better and how it is better, and how much time it took etc. It would be great
