If you are diagnosed with an auto-immune condition you should first seek to understand why your body is attacking itself, e. g. find out what makes an auto-immune disease an auto-immune disease. No matter what type of auto-immune disease you have been diagnosed with the causal reason will be the same. The theory (and fact) is that some animal protein fragments will have escaped into your blood stream without being broken down into their amino acid building block parts. (Your body will build these amino acids into the protein chains that it wants and will be different, but similar, to those of the animals you eat. Your immune system will recognise these fragments as 'foreign bodies' (one might say literally) and will create antibodies, to get a grip on them so to speak. The problem is that the protein fragments that get through into your system may resemble some protein chain built into it, meaning that those antibodies may now attack that chain of protein that's part of your own body tissue. This does not normally happen with plant proteins because they are more dissimilar to our own than are other animals' protein chains. This is then real knowledge, a knowledge that should give you the confidence to seek a plant based treatment for your auto-immune disease. It shows me (and you, if you think about it) that we are simply not born omnivore: we are natural born vegans. So in reality there are no non-vegans. yes? - just those that have fallen off the wagon.

What happened with Gabi is exactly why you shouldn't judge people based on what they eat in one particular day - you don't know them and so you can't judge! And Gabi, nor anybody else, should have to explain to a stranger their diet. People can eat what they want, you have no right to be 'disappointed' in random people for eating a KFC, so much so that you make an entire video criticising their perfectly normal diets. And fair enough if you want to make videos on vegan recipes, and encourage people to go vegan, but using other famous youtubers names in your video titles to get views is also unfair. And no matter what, the whole world is never going to be vegan, BECAUSE THEN THERE WOULDN'T BE ENOUGH FOOD TO FEED EVERYONE!
You can't tell people how to live there lives. You can encourage them to live a certain way, but you have no right to tell them.

omg I love your videos but this video kinda turned me off as she said she is limited to lots of food! and yes KFC is very bad for you but it's not like she is having it breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert and if she did go back to being a vegan it would not be healthy for her she will have to cut out a lot of food and that will make her not eat much and were all beautiful even if we're very big what matters is that they are not overeating a lot and not undereating yes animals get hurt and that makes me sad but she has to and we can't all have an amazing shape and that just don't judge and stay up in your business you can't get into everyone's lives it annoying me how you think most of the community has to be vegan and eat SUPER healthy I would understand if people ate big amounts of unhealthy food all the time ugh I hope you understand what i mean.

I highly doubt a respectable dr recommended fried chicken or fried anything for an autoimmune disorder. I know people that went vegan due to dr's advice when they were diagnosed with autoimmune disorders. Me? I'm not a health freak. More into animal rights. Hell, I'm eating a vegan pizza right now (mushrooms, , dayia, home-made greens and garlic sauce, and plantains. It's really good, and not complete junk. I do eat mostly 'good for you' food, but I never turn down junk. I do know that fried foods are not healthy, and should be limited if you have chronic illnesses. especially colitis. I'm not saying never eat fried veggies. Just don't make it your 'go to. '

i have hashimoto's thyroiditis and i am still vegan, i eliminated gluten and all processed and fried foods and also all sweets and i feel really well. i take levothyroxine and pair it with a healthy whole food vegan diet, in spring and summer i am 95% raw, during autumn and fall i eat more starch solution, a lot of fruits and veggies and i would never go back to eating meat because i went vegan for environmental and ethical reasons. also my eczema is 90% better than when i was vegetarian

I am 15 and I have hashimoto's hypothyroidism and I am vegeterian (because of ethical reasons. I only take levothyroxine (and will for the rest of my life. I have talked to my endocrynologist about diet and she says there is no scientific proof that diet is linked to hashimoto's. She also says her daughter has hashimoto's and that they tried various diets but they didn't work. I'm sorry Freelee but you are not a doctor and probably the only research you do is online.

Freelee, I wanna stop eating meat. I already don't have dairy cuz I can find plant based alternatives for calcium.
the only thing I am afraid if of l missing out on nutrients, particularly protein, could you advise me on that plz.
would a vegan diet help to achieve clear skin and weight loss?
another thing is convincing my family not to pester me about it.
I need your help!

it is crazy to me how people dont understand that some thyroid problems are different than others. also, gabi has struggled with an eating disorder in the past and lots of other issues. telling her that she isnt living or eating right isnt going to help. stop messing with other peoples lives and deal with your own.
