Uber's 25% should cover car insurance. Uber should do like Airbnb and create its own insurance and provide it to the drivers for free as part of the 25% fee. And also the Uber drivers app should have a car-sharing function, add more drivers without adding more cars, let drivers share their car with other drivers and make even more money in their sleep. Again all should be covered by Uber's insurance included in the 25%. Let Uber drivers swap cars, let them try other cars, do a bit of electric or Exec or Lux or make a new Uber Vintage all covered by Uber's insurance. And let parent drivers drive around sometimes with their little kid on the front seat (if extra front seat seatbelt adjustment for kids on front seat is required then provide it.

The booking fee is like a tip on every ride for UBER. Right after they added tipping on the app, they raised the booking fee. The customer has to rate the driver before the tipping option pops up. If they wait too long it goes away. Then when the rider tries to go back to tip, it's so tiny in the upper right hand corner they can barely see, if not at all.

Uber is a brilliant company. Make a driver feel like an owner of own company with no boss but pay them poorly like minimum wage employees via trickery. It is telling in the interview if you pay attention. Driver brainwashing. They are 'the diver' sometimes and 'our drivers' other times when it suits Dara's point. Listen again.

this guys still hasn't added value to UBER from the perspective of giving shareholders value. Being great at PC work culture is not the same thing as being a great company, which is not the same thing as being a great company to invest in. If this were a stock either Sell or Avoid unfortunately. What a shame.

They made just an App. and made billions out of it. The guys who are breaking their bones on the streets by working 12-14 hour shifts are struggling to survive, I mean the car owners. Some are near bankruptcy.
Shame on Uber for sucking up the hard earned money from the drivers.

Uber is taking %67 percent on trips meanwhile Dara running around spraying fairy dust while drivers and basically bleeding out. This is is the most unethical company in the world.

This Greedy stingy CEO's NEVER would help the drivers. its all about money! but remember cancer there is no cure when get a cancer in your bung holes you dies as same like everybody.
reply

What are you doing for drivers willing to drive full-time and over time? What about late night drivers? I am sure you know the cost of living in California. Do something.
