CAMERON SALOIS once weighed 494lbs thanks to a food addiction - but now the 29-year-old has lost a staggering 289lbs after finding inspiration from his job at a gym. Cam, from San Diego, has struggled with his weight since childhood until he reached breaking point in July 2018 when he couldn-t fit between his car and a parked car, and had to ask a neighbour to come out and help him. Over the course of 13 months, he lost a huge 289lbs and his quality of life has improved in many ways. He told Truly: -I do things that I never thought were possible and I take tremendous pride in that. Video Credits: Videographer / director: Colin Weatherby Producer: Dav Rich

i'm over 300lbs or was, I've since lost some inches but I don't weigh myself, afraid of being disapointed in what I see on the scale. I'm also 44 years old and not getting younger, since recently being diagnosed with type II diabetes from pre diabetes. I've started taking prescription weight loss medication, metforman and phentermine. I'm also working on eating less and going to the gym more, though I have no real support sytem or work out buddy to help push me. So I tend to drop off from going as much as I'd like to. As of now I don't even know if I've dropped below 300lbs or not. I've started doing fasting and eatting less when I do. I'm going to try to make the gym a daily routine though I only do an hour before work, 30 minutes of treadmill and 30 minutes of weight lifting. I'm also worried about the lose skin, so want to know if there are things to help reduce or minimize it, but like you said, I'd take that over being big anymore to. Thank you for this video, and I am motivated to see someone make that transformation.

I wish I could go to the gym(don't have the money for it) not to mention get a job at one, I was 500 pounds 6 months ago and am now 385 but I highly doubt I could get a job at one with no HSE. I think that's the thing that is hold me back the most not having my HSE, which lowers the chance at finding a job and not having the money to get specific things that would help with said journey but I'm not letting that hold me back. Just know guys, diet is 80% of the battle.

The line -you don-t even know what you are doing to yourself while you are doing it- is so true. I was the same way, eating was something I did when I wanted to, no schedule or meal plans. Snacking was snacking so it had to be unhealthy in my mind, as opposed to snacking on fruits or yogurt or cottage cheese. always had to be like chips and dip or ice cream. Food needs to be controlled. Once I took control of food, I dropped almost 70 lbs in 6 months.

Are we saying he lost the 289 and built up that amount of muscle in 13 months? Or did he lose the weight and more time has passed since he lost it? Because his arms look absolute jacked and there's no way he's gaining that kind of muscle mass in a year without roids. And even with roids it might be hard, especially while dropping weight in a caloric deficit.

A 5 day split routine dont use too many sets and dont use too heavy weights, eat healthy and make sure that you relax.
Mon - back, traps, biceps, abs
Tue - legs, chest, shoulders, triceps, forearms
Wed - back, traps, biceps, abs
Thu - legs, chest, shoulders, triceps, forearms
Fri - back, traps, biceps, abs

More power to you. Hard work and willpower brother. When you put you mind into something it always pays off. That right there will never let you down. Hardest part is to make your self go through the process and keep pushing through.

let' see if you can actually keep it off. diets and weight loss have a near 100% failure rate. THAT is the real accomplishment. anyone can lose weight. keep it off? near impossible. time will tell your discipline.

Strangers respect people that look healthy. Losing weight and having a healthy BMI makes you attractive and people respond better to those which show themselves the respect their health and attitude deserves.

So if you lose weight more slowly would you not have the excess skin problem? Can only imagine how much getting rid of it would cost and it would be cosmetic right? So insurance wouldn't cover it?

I can really relate to the beginning of your weight loss journey, it's crazy how hard it is to get started and keeping it going especially when it's difficult to move around. Much respect man

This is the type of action that should be praised. Hard work that shows real results with massive positives. Every time, the person seems way more confident

Not just the muscle strength but his mentality to keep pushing through! Good for him, he looks great and I bet he feels better than he looks.
