Dear Sir, I was wondering if I might dare to ask you a question. Let me get across presently: Why do you not use the subjunctive mode after as though ? For instance:
it looks as if it were going to rain ( correct or incorrect?)
It looks as if it is going to rain ( correct or incorrect )
It looks as though it were going to rain ( correct or incorrect ?)
It looks as though it is going to rain ( correct )
BUT
Native speakers say:
It looks like it is going to rain ( correct or incorrect)

And you can take any pen
