I heard that some people have warmer bodies than others and are accustomed to cold water.
Maybe, they have a special type of blood.
The idea is that when body temperature drops below 37C , the body tries to warm itself and if there isn't any source of energy, the temperature will continue dropping until freezing and death.

This is so interesting. If you guys have never heard of him, you should check out Wif Hof. He's a European guy that has done some INSANE things involving extreme cold. There are several short documentaries about him on Youtube and they're fascinating
