We have 718 mother tongue or local languages in indonesia. Every people speak in their own language before learn bahasa indonesia as a national language. So english is a 4th or even 7th language to study in classroom system for 6 to 10 years.
But i think 93% indonesian students can't speak english fluently like native english speakers.
if you a non native speaker you'll strugle to learn foreign language like english. even many indonesian in rural area can't speak our national language.

Very interesting! In Spanish that would be lengua madre mothers give us birth! However, I find strange the fact that actor is better perceived than actress. It's the first time I have heard about it. In Spanish that would not be the case. Perhaps, its about gender issue that is now trend everywhere and that I find confussing.

I love watching 6 minutes English with BBC. It's short and precise lesson but we'd gained a great deal of English in terms of vocabulary words, new phrases, pronunciation etc. I'm deeply appreciate it to all of you, to all of BBC crews. Keep it up your great work!
