The vets struggle to take a blood sample from a pair of seals. Great video from BBC show Vets in the Wild.
hokeypokeypanda: It would be more cruel to release the seal into the wild having a possibly contagious virus that would affect the rest of the seal population. They are simply trying to restrain the seal as quickly as they can, obviously wild animals that have not had alot of contact with humans it can be much more stressful particularly given you cant explain to them what is going on. It may appear confronting, but its just restraining an animal as safely as they can to prevent harm to themselves and the animal. They are doing what they can for the best interest of the animals health. Date: 2020-08-24
