Time 3mins7sec It seems to me he's not that bad off he has a brick house when all the other have tin and blanket's, he has soft furnishing's, window's, canopy's over the window's a bike in the CORIDOOR! !! I dont think he's hard up at all in fact it seem's to me he's been plundering egg's for year's and now the BBC has now given our money for an interview to a thief. Ive seen poor on t. v and this is very far from poor. Oh and dont forget the gold earring's the missus still has stuck in her ears.

pinkseamonser, they had a tsunami hit when they had everything and it blind sided them. They used to live in a better life style, but to have a family they planned before their friends, neighbors, and family were wiped out in one fell swoop. they had circumstances to have children. Now, the turtles are more endangered as a result of the sunami and they can't get eggs like they used to when it was considered OK. I'm sure they are not having more kids on top of the kid they are waiting for.

Firstly do not ever PM me again with an abusive message. We all have the right 4 freedom of speech and the type of abuse you sent was not on. The family by those countries standard's are living a very nice life and are not in deep poverty, he got rightly fined for threatening an endangered species by steeling egg's. You call yourself Miss Eco I think your very far from it, spending your life making trouble. This video is 4 YEARS post tsunami and your telling me there is only egg's to feed on.

You know. Acting for camera is an entirely different genre than trying to narrate an event to help the viewer get a perspective on a story line. She is just being herself, I see no manipulation going on. It takes guts to cry in front of a camera, acting or no acting. All I know is, until you've been in front of a camera talking to an audience, let alone talking in front of a group of people on stage, its sooo easy to project what you think that person is thinking no matter how off base.

MMMMMM! ! Well then, she cries for someone that is killing turtle's. He KNEW his crime and yet she cry's well tuff luck he got caught and he pay's the fine, if these law's were not in place we wouldnt have any turtle's left. He live's by the sea but want's egg's instead. Well I would like a Bentley but drive a Ford I DONT NICK WHAT I WANT I live by my mean's, he has a whole ocean to plunder and yet he want's turtle egg's. Get rid of this presenter and her bias view's it doesnt wash with me.

Hey bigal1974uk, that's right. By appearances, he's doing alright. So are the middle class people who's homes are foreclosing right and left in this economy. By all appearances with their 2 car garage, 5 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, new drapes and carpeting. Yah, they are doing great! But, you are not there to see them living in a hotel the next week, are you? How long does this guy have in a brick house before he has to give up his children and live in a tent somewhere? Think about it.

truvelocity Plus dude animals die in worse ways than you can imagine everyday. whoo hoo a human starves. how often does that happen in nature? when I'm get into conservation I'm gonna slam the book on people for poaching and pretty much anything else thats illegal, even pot, until I can get that legal. I really want to get dog fighting put in the category into a class a felony and make people pay heavy ass fines.

The man she interviewed said, Taking turtle eggs is something we have always done and that no one explained the new law to him about the ban on turtle eggs, no information, and nobody has made an effort to create awareness among the locals. Then, she cried he was fined 9 months of wages and she feels compassion for the family. She never said he was uneducated.

Everyone's comments have missed the boat. She was crying for the FAMILY because he was garnished 9 months of his wages and she wants to help the FAMILY and feels for the residence and the thousands of people who died there from the RECENT disaster.

I am Sri Lankan and we can safely say this mans house is poor. Yes he is not like African like poor but still fairly poor. most(I would say 90%) Sri Lankans have better houses than this
