What's amazing is I recorded the FULL audio of the attack (I still have it but I refuse to listen to it ever again) and I assumed Amy had run off and escaped but then you can her her screaming while Tim was being attacked. At one point he was begging please when the Bear grabbed him by the leg. It was mostly wind in the background. But, then Amy screamed and it was all over. To know that she COULD have escaped while Tim was being attacked, especially when he was telling her to get out of there and run for it, is chilling. She must have really cared for him since she chose to stay with him. To know that the Bear had left and only returned when he heard scream out for the final time is crazy. If she would have stayed quiet, the Bear would have never returned. WOW! The audio made my hair on my neck stand up.

I remember when this happened and seeing Grizzly Man. A LOT had to go wrong for things to end up the way they did even though he knew exactly what he was getting into better than anybody. What makes this so much worse was that he had to take his gf with him all the way to their end. She didn't even want to be there anymore, as in ever again. Was even contemplating leaving him over his bear obsession. She knew the dangers and was not really that much of a wildlife enthusiast. While he may have been an experienced wildlife expert when it came to bears and their habitats but he was still lucky to be alive even then, and still kept pressing that luck until he literally poked the bear. once too many times.

The contorted look of sheer terror still frozen on Amie’s face was the worst part and something I had never seen before on a corpse.
To think what her last moments were like: She had watched her boyfriend get eaten, and knew that that was going to be her fate as well, and there was nothing she could do to stop it. She didn’t even want to be there, and she suffered the worst of the two.

Why tf would they kill the bear because a dumbass wanted to be friends WITH WILD GRIZZLY BEARS! I live around black bears in the national forest they are a lot calmer then a grizzly but I still won’t be trying to make friends anytime soon. The bear was just doing bear things looking for food to hibernate anyone who camps/overlands/explores backwoods knows that you don’t take food into your TENT hang it from a tree use if out in the wild and if at a camp site that has lockboxes use the lockbox

I hate when every video that covers this ignores his poor girlfriend. It’s always The terrifying death of Timothy Treadwell. His girlfriend had a much more horrific death, she didn’t even want to be there, watched and heard her insane boyfriend screaming in agony and getting ripped to pieces by a grizzly bear as she frantically tried to help him and then afterwards it came back for her, she died alone with nobody around to hear her scream.

If a bear doesn’t want to be friends with you you can’t force it to be. Maybe the bear didn’t like humans the same way most wyte people don’t like blk people for no reason at all. The bear was only doing what bears are wired to do, on the other hand the grizzly man had a few screws missing upstairs and it’s easy to see that his elevator didn’t rise from the basement floor and that’s why he’s no longer amongst us today.

In some ways, it reminds me of Steve Irwin, the crocodile Hunter. Doing a lot of the work he did chasing alligators and such than to be taken out by a stingray. These kind of jobs that they do are very dangerous even in the best of circumstances, you can’t always be best buds with a creature that’s meant to be wild. They both ended up paying the ultimate sacrifice for their love of nature and animals.

It becomes insane when people think they have special relationships with dangerous wild animals. This delusion so often ends with the death of the person who wrongly thought the animal loved them and would never hurt them. Never trust an animal from the wild even one that has been raised by humans. They all operate on instinct stay away and you have the chance to live a much longer life.

This tears me a part to say but we’re headed in two different directions. I’ll see yah when I see yah! As I’m running as fast as I can in the opposite direction.

This guy basically committed suicie. He wanted to die, and I think he was surprised that it took so long. That's why he camped in that bear maze
I think in Werner Herzogs Grizzly Man, some natives of the area said that he actually endangered the bears because they got used to humans and wandered closer to settlements, where they sometimes got shot.

This guy not only was a danger to those people who believed his nonsense about bears being his friends but a danger to the bears themselves. By showing such reckless behaviors around bears it would make people think they could interact with them as well and when those bears act like well bears guess who gets put down for the safety of the community

I don't understand why the bear was killed. The bear didn't take I-10 into LA and go up to a house door. The bear was just doing bear things. No salmon, no problem, where's that dude's at That's what hungry animals do. Humans just can't handle ending up in the food chain when we put ourselves in bad positions.

I watched some sort of documentary on this guy years ago. His parents didn't even recognize their son's brazen ego. It's hard to watch a man live in a downward spiral over several years thinking he's immortal, thinking bears are his friends. The delusion this man lived was breathtaking. Literally.

This guy was a TV anchor wanna be. He had no training at all for handling bears or anything else. He was just looking to get famous. This is a sad story of a distrubed person. He was told to not do this on so many occasions. This is 100% the result of bad choices.

My Mum told me a story about how she had a run in with a black bear one time when she was a kid, and that was terrifying enough. And black bears are more afraid of us than we are of them. So, to purposely bother GRIZZLY BEARS is absolutely baffling to me.

Man they sure did manipulate the entire public with making him seem like a dang animal expert who cared about the bears! Instead we really had a crazy guy who had no clue what he was doing and getting himself and his lady friend killed all for nothing!

Guy thought he was in a Disney movie. People living in cities forget they are actually at the bottom of the food chain and can't even outrun a damn gazelle. Eating animals doesn't make you a top predator; hell, people even get killed by cows and deer.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I think he was an egotistical asshole who was deservedly killed by his own hubris. It wasn't enough to teach the world about bears, he and he ALONE had to be the one to do it because he saw it as his ticket to fame

Sounds like his alcohol high level of trust got him killed by these bears dude gets no sympathy from me. It looked like he was harassing them bears by going into there feeding spot and became competition for there food.
