Attenborough Makes Friends with an Orangutan #AttenboroughWeek Zoo Quest for a Dragon BBC emtplacebo: Why are they taking animals from the wild and placing them in cages? As a naturalist I'm surprised and shocked to see David Attenborough participating in this horrible practice. Where is the orangutan's mother? She would've fought to the death to protect her baby. I'm severely disappointed to see Sir Attenborough promoting taking wild animals from their native habitat and placing them in cages. This is something he actively try's to stop in today's recent videos. It's disconcerting to see him acting/promoting in a hypocritical polar opposite video.

Mixed feelings watching this; on one hand the kindness of David, on the other the sadness of the orangutan's environment. Different times.
