Spiders are the most amazing web architects and using slow motion the Earth Unplugged team captured this Orb spider building a stunning structure Lori: I have a a big one out my window. I watched her as she made a huge web. In a day she had about 150 fly bugs and the next day a huge wind came and destroyed it. I was sad but glad that she was gone. Then l l missed her. Now l look out my window and she is there. It's 9: 30 pm and she's building another web. But I can tell by her movements that she's making this one extra strong. I'm in an apartment on the top (11th) floor. Why she's up so high l don't know.

sceintists have favoured ants that they build a nice colony, we need to study spiders as well.
1. spiders are able to still make their round/hexagobal cobweb if only 2 vertical walls are available. the whole buold hangs with 2 strings on each side
2. they always rest at the centre
3
they remeber the nearest joint in case of running if house shakes.

I have two big spider webs infront of my window. I will never destroy them because they keep the mosquitos out in summer. And the spiders never enter my room because they are well fed and don't need to move much.

Theres been a jumping spider that pops up in my family room all the time, after a while hed chill with me on the couch when Im watching something, I named him Jimmy the Jumping Spider

1: 36 they really are germaphobes honestly. If you see them they always clean themselves when they are resting and it's to keep them moist and also so they stick to their webs better

I would love to see my 3 female support workers Hayley borowiec, Kelly oreilly and Emily Reid

I now realize that spiders are not killing the bugs they catch in their webs to eat. They are just really mad that something has damaged their hard work.

Who taught it to do that? How big is it's brain? Does it tap into some unseen shared spider consciousness? Evolution obviously plays a role. but how?

All the hard work and time must drain their energy, makes me feel bad for all the webs iv destroyed in the past. Wont do that again
