The Lost Kingdom of Sudan BBC Earth Pickled: Its racism.
How is it racist when you've watched and recorded these very people burning and destroying their own history?
People realize how many destructive groups going on this isn't something holy, destroy it. crusades there have been have they?
Take ISIS and they desecration of ancient Sumerian tombs for example.
I do not understand how we can watch people destroy their own civilisations and the sit there and wonder how dare you think you're more superior! You get what you ask for when you burn your own shit to the ground.
Same crap would happen to whites in Europe. Hell we do it to ourselves when we find something. It used to be so bad that we would instantly just say oh well, God, Odin, or some mythical power must of done this.
I could bet to you, if Africa was civilized more so then it is, they'd also look at our (very hidden) Tombs and go These people couldn't have done this.
You burn something down in utter ignorance and you're deemed to be called and idiot for eternity.

Thank you BBC for shedding light on this forgotten fragment of history. Brings a tear to my eye everytime I stumble upon something like this.
To everyone reading this comment, the people of Sudan are being massacred day and night. Mass genocide has been carried out constantly in the states of Darfur, for the past 3 decades, by the goverment of Omar Al-Bashir, a dictator donning fake gowns of democracy. And recently, the killing of unarmed citizens has become even more common in the central states of Khartoum, the capital, and surrounding areas. Doctors, teachers, students, and little children are being slaughtered daily, and the peaceful protests in Sudan, now entering their third month, have remained peaceful despite all the violence the protestors face.
Please turn on the news, and please, spread the word.
Sudan, just like its history, is dying.

The Nubians were Cushitic people that were apart of the Hamitic race and spoke Afro-Asiatic language, and genetically related to the ancient Egyptians, people still apart of this race are, Ethiopians, Somalis, Beja, Oromo, Afar, and other Cushitic speaking people. Yes their skin colour was dark skin so black but not all natives of Africa with black skin are genetically related to them or off the same language family or phenotype, when early Europeans said they werent black they meant as in negroid black like the ones that lived a primitive life that they took as slaves.

SAD what was left out of history books. So much conspiracy. Even some of the comments wreak with ignorance. Makes you wonder, why such MONUMENTAL investments, and HUGE efforts over CENTURIES to cut the African out of history, the genocide. continuously even today. Is it to support an ongoing ideological LIE? or RESOURCES?

This is just the tip of ancient civilizations that lived in Sudan, besides Maroe Kingdom, Darfur Sultanate had flourished to the point that they were responsible for covering the Mecca stone because Saudi didnt have enough funds.
Btw, Sudan has more pyramids than Egypt.
