USA is underreacting because of a massive oil corp lobby and far right posing as 'libertarians' while arguing for corp hegemony.

The planet will survive - until the sun gives up on us, a few billion years hence. But the human race? it will last a while, on islands of survivability. I'm with scientists who who know their subject: Lovelock, Attenborough & others. We're locked into a 10, 000 year cycle of climate change - whether induced by humanity or not makes little odds. But meanwhile I'd go for nuclear power: you can at least decomission a power plant. You can't decomission 10, 000 years of climate change.

scientists predict that we only have another 50, 000 years left on this planet because our sun is dying. as the sun dies, it expands and will cause the earth to heat up to a temperature that all living species will cease to exist.
they should really find a select group of perfect people that could create a much better world and fly off to a new planet, then leave all the rest of mankind to become extinct on this planet.

wow sum1 is a bit touchy and how do you (in this case scientists prediction) predict earth will be 2 warm for mammals. yes i no they can simulate future climate, but there are still 2 many variables to accurately say tht earth wil be 2 warm 4 mammals in 50, 000 yrs. gheez and plz language
