Kevin Spacey is one of my favorite actors. After hearing all of the bad press surrounding his off-set behavior, the research you did on his upbringing as a child brought some badly needed clarity as to these elements of his character. But understanding the trauma that often shapes our childhood does not forgive our frailties or failures as adults. The fact is, there are so many emotionally damaged members of the enormous talent pool that comprises the entertainment business, that if we were to shun everyone who harbored darker aspects of their personalities we wouldn’t have anybody to watch or enjoy at all. From Elvis, to Michael Jackson, to even the great Lawrence Olivier, Oscar Wilde, and F. Scott Fitzgerald, all suffered from emotional flaws, many often overwhelming and eventually fatal.
Among his enormous body of work, for me one of Spacey's most notable roles came later in his career as the beleaguered head of an investment film on the brink of disaster in, Margin Call. The way he explored things like loyalty, love, life, death, and how we often deal with these often disparate challenges, remains not only one of the most outstanding performances I've yet seen, but seemed to encapsulate all of the enormous demons he must have lived with, either successfully or unsuccessfully, all his adult life.

Sad. Tragic. Creepy. Depressed. Sounds terrible. It's on the news every day. Read a memoir of celebrities in Hollywood golden era. 30s, 40s, 50s. Tim Conway was quoted as saying I thouht everyone lived in a garage The robot narrating this says Soz its pronounced SoZay from The Usual Suspects

I’m so glad I watched this. Until I did, I had no knowledge of his innocence. The media MUST right this wrong. Speak up! Tell the world Kevin is not a freak or pedd oh. He’s a victim of the drama mamas who used the me too movement to ruin a brilliant actor’s career. Shame on them!

I AGREE WITH Steves psyche, strangle me. AND Rick and Rob can do each. I AM TOO OLD AND HAVE NO REASON TO TRY. I AM VERY HATED. I agree with tossing the devices make kids learn how to read. If their just going to keep all the money for one gender. Wise up. I am not wirth the trouble.

People need to learn to separate the person from the actor.
He is responsible for his personal life, not my business.
But I have always liked him as an actor.
I feel that way about a lot of them as well as singers.

The Movie Swimming With Sharks that you briefly spoke about. The character Kevin played Buddy Ackerman I think Jeremy Piven used that character as inspiration for his role in Entourage as Ari Gold

I have one unanswered question: What was a minor doing in a stranger's place without supervision I do NOT approve any abuse or bad behaviour, but still, I want to know.

After seeing his debunking of the allegations on Piers Morgan, I feel incredibly bad for him. I hope to see him successful and out of bankruptcy once again very very soon.

Maybe he should move to Europe and get a new life. It worked for Roman Polanski. If he can star in some good projects over there he might be able to make a comeback.

The narrator obviously doesn't know the differences between the military branches. He described Costner as Army, when he was clearly Navy,

I don’t care what they say about Kevin Spacey; he is a great actor. I’ve seen all his movies, not theater. He’s great!
